A lot of people understanding of christianity is misunderstanding.
There are many different ways to explain Christianity
One of the easiest way is to understand Christianity as an invitation
I an sure you like invitation.
Invitation for special occasion and you find the card with a RSVP, what does it stands for?
It is not a demand, it is a offer
If you don’t reply by the date, you can’t go.
Everyone all over the world is given this invitation. Sunday 13th Aug. Will we offer it tomorrow? Don’t know. None of us can guarantee if the person can be alive tomorrow. So reply RSVP while you are still alive.
Christianity is an invitation –
1. Who is it from
– from God
2. Who is it to
– every single one of us. You and me
3. What is it about
– the Bible is about 3 things –
– 1. Forgiveness from the past
– 2. New life here today!
– 3. A hope for the future
RSVP. what have you done with the invitation?
If you have accepted the invitation, you become the invitation.
Wherever you go, you become the invitation. To invite them to come to church.
If you have not received the invitation, receive the invitation today.
When we believe in Him accept His invitation, shall not perish!
We have been offered a hope for the future!
You can have the hope for the future.
We are been given eternal life! If it was necessary for Jesus to die on the cross so that we can go there, it must be worth going there.
Go via King’s Cross! If we go by the cross of the King, we go to eternal life!
Root cause of everything that is wrong in the world.
– The heart of the human problem is the problem of the human heart.
We all have a heart dis-ease.
Imagine you past after this life now. You wake up in a gigantic theatre. Angels fly in and come to you and said welcome to the theatre of judgement. You see everything you ever did and said and thought. At the end of the movie the angels said relax. You do not want a public viewing of your private life.
What people don’t realised is that the things we have thought and done had effect of disconnecting us with God.
For God so loved you and me and Jesus came into this world to do something for us. He came into this world to die on the cross for us. It is as if He signed a cheque with His blood and let us clear our debt.
Jesus came into this world to buy us back to clean us to restore us and to reframe us! That is what He did!
He offered us forgiveness of the past. We have been forgiven, cleansed and set free.
So many people future is hindered because of their past.
The word Christian has the word Christ in it. If you remove Christ from it, you left only Ian. Ian won’t help us.
To be Christian means you are connected to Christ.
The car of your life. To be a Christian means Christ is in your car. If He is not in your car today, invite Christ into your life today.
We already thinking He is already in the car. Where is He in the car? Is He in the driving seat in the car of your life? Are you a back seat driver?
It is easy to say He is in our life. When you got Jesus in the driving seat in your life, His Holy Spirit will produce love joy peace patience kindness goodness gentleness faithfulness and self-control.
It could mean there is a little blockage if we do not have the above. Reposition Him to the driving seat in the car of our life!
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
1st American Astronaut was asked if he has seen God. He said he wont see God unless he stood out of his space suit
If you ask the wrong question you will not get the right answer.
Has God revealed Himself? Has God spoken?
God has spoken through history.
Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of Lord.
Invitation is from God to deliver us through Jesus.
For God so loved the world. Every single one of us. Not everybody acknowledge the invitation.
Reposition Jesus in the car of your life.
