Without Him, where will we be? God sent His Son. To send His Son is something speaks of God’s love.
The world may be partying and just next down is hell. God is not willing that any should perish but that all may be saved.
There are those who say no and they are those who has chosen their destiny.
Believing Christ is always present tense.
You are saved eternally. You are saved forever. The word “believe” is constant present tense. He is a Saviour and He lives as a Saviour.
There are always situation in our lives that needs saving.
Anointing is not imparted via physical presence. Anointing is in the realm of God. Grace is attracted to our minus not our plus
John 5:1-16
Chapter 5
A Man Healed at the Pool of Bethesda
After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.
And that day was the Sabbath. The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.”
He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ”
Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?” But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
Honor the Father and the Son
For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath.
There are wonderful nuggets of truth and we can see Jesus in His beauty glory and excellency.
This healing is parable in action.
Every names, geographical reference has value and meaning
Characteristic word – start off with “them”
Gospel of action -> “immediately”
Gospel of John -> “after this thing”
Feast of the Lord -> the Lord’s feast
Nothing trivial in the word of God

Rebuilding the Wall
Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and built the Sheep Gate; they consecrated it and hung its doors. They built as far as the Tower of the Hundred, and consecrated it, then as far as the Tower of Hananel.
Eliashib in Hebrews means my God restores
When someone repent, is turning to God
Shepherd with 100 sheep.
Sheep gate is a gate the sheep enter through to the temple. Sheep gate also known as Benjamin gate.
Beth means house.
Hesed in hebrew is grace.
House of grace. Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
5 is the number of grace. As a Son He in
5th time Noah name was mentioned, he found favour
Many Hebrew words for youth. Teenage year. 17 again! God renews our youth like eagles!
Joseph and Benjamin shared the same mother.
We and Jesus, the heavenly Joseph share the same mother -> grace.
We are in the midst of Benjamin generation
The church don’t really believe they are forgiven.
5 times more food
5 times more provision
You have 5 anointing you can flow in
5 poaches
People with diseases have no strength.
John 5:3
In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
God is just and He is love.
The painful thing about love is when you are so filled with love and you cannot pour out.
The answer is the cross
He knew no sin and did no sin but He took our sins.
God’s holiness cannot punish us for our sins.
We are saved today. We cannot be condemned.
Jesus feet took Him straight to the needy and suffering
Grace is attracted to the worse case.
He loves to pour out.
Is the Father good pleasure to give us the kingdom.
God loves you and He knows the pain in your heart and the numbers of hairs on your head. He cares for you. Be conscious that He cares for you.
Devil wants to deindividualise us. God loves you. God calls us by our names. Not once, but twice.
He calls us by name and He is an individual God.
Blind is our first condition.
People partying away and act like there is no God.
Why is there mortality? God did not make us to die. Nothing short of this is His standard.
John 7:23
If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?
God wants to make every part of us whole.
Wherever Jesus goes, people prosper!
The 3 group of people without strength represent humanity.
Halt -> cannot walk for God
Behind every physical there is spiritual. God is after our spirit side.
A leper represent more than physical.
Lets not just go for physical, but go for spiritual as well.
Is a parable in action.
When you are blind u can’t walk and work.
God put work last. The church put work first. Revelation happen first.
When you see right you will walk right and when you walk right you will work right.
It was a Sabbath the blind, the halt and withered who were healed!
Matthew 12:10-14
And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—that they might accuse Him.
Then He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other. Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.
They knew He can heal. But they asked Him if it is right for Him to heal on Sabbath day that they might accuse Him
God gives us one house (our body) take care of it!
The need exist for grace to meet.
Sick -> are compared as sheep falling into a pit.
Luke was a doctor. He said the withered hand was right hand. When Jesus restored his hand, He gave him back his livelihood. Right hand are said to be used for livelihood.
When you get religious, all you get is hatred.
Under law, try your best you produce hatred.
Right in their midst was their Saviour and yet the people were waiting for their Saviour.
Could it be we could actually be involved in Christian religion and yet miss the Saviour in our midst?
In the law,
1. You must see the stirring of water (but if you cannot see?)
2. Whoever step in first will get well (but if you are limp, how to step in?)
The law implies you must have strength to do the don’t.
God never mock man. In order for man to see better. God has something better for us.
When God gives the 10 commandments, by the law, sin becomes exceeding sinful.
Man is using the law as a knowledge of holiness in their lives.
God holiness is not just confined to the don’ts.
Stirring of water is a picture of the law.
Jesus came. Grace came.
38 years ->
Deuteronomy 2:14
And the time we took to come from Kadesh Barnea until we crossed over the Valley of the Zered was thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war was consumed from the midst of the camp, just as the Lord had sworn to them.
This man has been there in unbelief. Wondering wondering. We are still fighting. Grace is attracted to our weakness and yet we always put our best foot forward.
We show our worse foot to God and He shall be our strength.
We tend to think we got to be strong.
Jacob was struggling with God. He was wrestling with God. As long as Jacob was wrestling, God wanted to leave.
When Jacob was weak, God did not leave. Flat on his back, he prevailed.
Devoid of all attempts to be saved by our Saviour.
Lay hold on God and prevail God with our weakness. God becomes our divine captive.
Jesus came just on time. Jesus always initiate.
John 5:5-7
Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
Jesus asked if he wants to get well. There are people accustomed to be sick. There are people who are invalid, deep down in their heart, they are adjusting to their bondage.
Every whit whole! Do you want to be make well?
God make us every whit whole!
Put our eyes on the Lord, not on man. Put our eyes on the Man. Sometimes healing is easier than we think. We complicated it.
Eyes on anything else but Jesus.
Don’t worry about having faith, just look at Me.
Don’t worry not having enough faith to believe Me for, just look at Me.
The land flows with milk and honey. Not has milk and honey. It has got to be flowing.
The more your money flows the more you have.
It becomes bigger. When flows, it multiplies
Is addition by division.
It is multiplication by subtraction.
God way is addition than multiplication.
There is Benjamin generation raising
He used less to feed more.
Is not our pray soft or hard. The bigger the problem the easier for God.
John 5:8
Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.
There is a fire in His eyes that never compromise on sins, yet sinners are attracted to Him and weep over His feet and come so close.
When you see Him in the spirit you do not need to ask if you have faith. Faith is there.
Jesus moved among the suffering and we can tell there is a deity and dignity.
Arise, take up your bed and walk.
Grace, as He speaks, the power is there.
Many of motivation speakers are believers.
Grace speaks, the power is there. Before we start applying, we get healed.
The power is just be beholding.
Revelation must come first.
God wants your hands that are withered to be the hands that prosper in everything you touch.
Whatever you touch prosper!
Everything under Joseph’s hand prospers!
Believe whatever we touch prosper!
The Lord has restored you! It is not a matter of what job. It is a matter of who is supplying you.
Start acting upon His words and power comes.
Rise and act like you are healed!
Act young act strong act well and you will be well!
What would you do if you are well?
If it is going gym, than do it!
Now do it!
What would you do if you are 20 again?
Now do it!
Think young act strong act healed Rise!
No thoughts of failure and relapse. Take up your bed and walk!
He became well when he rose up.
Religious people can miss all the amazing testimonies and find something to find fault with.
John 5:11-12
He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ”
Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?”
When one turn Christianity into religion, one don’t care what God has done. They missed the testimonies and missed the point.
Jesus did not put attention on Himself.
John 5:14
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
We don’t want to sin and yet we still sin. Anything not of faith is sin.
The word no more is something he did in the past. No longer. The sin you did last time, no longer.
Sexually transmitted disease affect feet.
Some sins has consequences. The sin of committing suicide you cannot reverse.
John 5:16
Honor the Father and the Son
For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath.
John 5:17-18
But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
God’s dream was shattered because He gave man free choice. There was nothing disease. Everything was perfect. He saw everything He made and He rested. (Rest from His works) and
Than man sin against God.
Creation was disrupted. God worked again.
Sunday is a Rest that celebration redemption.
In redemption you enter into rest first, than you can work !
Upon first day of the week, you gather together.
Eden has fallen. Unless God blessed in redemption, nothing avail.
Put our trust in redemption and not creation.
