3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Zone X conference. Reach out to the youth. They are looking for love in all the wrong places and only Jesus can give.
Encourage them to bring their friends as well.
Last week we talked about Issac and Ismail and they are born of same father but different mothers.
God is giving us a picture of our days.
1 Corinthians 10:11
Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
We are truly the Benjamin generation
Galatians 4:30-31
Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.
Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Stand fast in the liberty
Liberty from the law. Only when we are free from the law we can walk worthy of the high calling
We are freed from the law and married to Jesus Christ. The Lord leads us to produce
The yoke of bondage is the law.
Galatians 5:4
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
We are all against sin.
The greatest good of man is to have Christ in his life
You are fallen from grace
Fallen means grace is high ground.
When you go back to law it means you fall from high ground
When Christ become of no effect, it is terrible.
Mark 2:17
When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
He belongs among the sinners. Is those who are sick who need a Healer.
The sinners that reached out to touch Jesus, Christ is of effect to them.
We cannot let man-made religion about Christian life comes into picture.
Luke 11:46
And He said, “Woe to you also, lawyers! For you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.
Matthew 11:28
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Christ was of effect to them
If you are struggling with panic attack and anxieties, you want Christ to be of effect to your mind.
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Galatians 5:4
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
Hebrews 2:14
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
Everything we receive from God is by grace.
Grace means unearned undeserved favour.
God Riches At Christ’s Expense
Grace caused God His Son and caused Jesus to lie down His own life
A gift is to be received.
It kills our pride to receive gifts freely.
Our theme song in heaven is worthy is the Lamb
Galatians 5:4 (ESV)
You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
A branch don’t struggle to produce fruit
With the right soil, grow in grace!
Our growth comes from the soil
2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
We don’t pray to get something from God. We pray because we know God is so close to us. We ask Him for what we need in our lives knowing He is close to us.
Our part is to acknowledge we have to rest. Than we produce more fruits and much fruits
Fallen from grace is not going into sin.
Long before someone go into sin, they fall from grace.
When God brought them out of Egypt, there was no temptation to build golden calf. They had the gold already.
They came out into freedom
Exodus 19:6
And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”
God has not even given them the 10 commandments
The people did not have ability to keep God’s law. But their pride, they said they will and can do it.
Immediately after they said that, God asked them don’t come near Mount Sinai.
God never had their tone with them “don’t come near”
It was pillar of fire that brought them through the red sea
The pillar of fire from the front went to the rear end to protect the people.
In the day time it led them with the pillar of cloud
God was so close to them. He never had the language don’t come near.
The very next chapter, God gave them the 10 commandments.
The 10 commandments presumed their own strength.
1 Timothy 1:9
knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
The moment you try to keep the law you activate your flesh.
You are presuming on your own strength.
Works of the flesh, fruit of the spirit
Work is because of effort
Fruit is the result of life
Exodus 19:8
Then all the people answered together and said, “All that the LORD has spoken we will do.” So Moses brought back the words of the people to the LORD.
Exodus 20:3-4
“You shall have no other gods before Me.
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
Christ is our sanctification
Christ is our redemption
1 Corinthians 1:30
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—
Trusting in the flesh, it is where it all started
When you are fallen from grace, it is then you fall into sin
If you are fallen from grace, you are left with yourself.
Fallen from grace means you fallen from the grace of God
Grace is God’s supplying
I am not under man’s working and i am under God’s supplying
To be supply minded, that is grace
Hebrews 12:14-16
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.
Pursue peace
Holiness
Root of bitterness – opposite of peace
Those who are bitter cause others to become bitter
Fornicator – sexual morality
People that are under law, believe in justifying by the law, they are bitter people
People who are under the law are very resentful
Galatians 4:29
But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.
Jesus’ greatest problem is not from the greatest sinner
It was people who knew the bible then, back to back
God does not see the way man sees
The way God sees is self-righteousness
God made them in His image. Adam and Eve were like God.
But yet Eve was trying to become what she was already
God said your sins are forgiven
Don’t try to become what you already are.
Favor with people is also another area you fallen from grace
Luke 2:52
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
The only one Jesus did not have favour with are the Pharisees
The same way Jesus had no favour with the Pharisees because they were under the law.
2 Corinthians 3:6-9
who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Glory of the New Covenant
But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
The only part of the law that was written on stone were the 10 commandments
Tabernacle
Holy of holies – the greatest holiness
Picture of the blood of Jesus been applied.
The holiest of holiest is His mercy seat
Only grace can bring a holy God and a sinful man together
1 Samuel 6:19-20
Then He struck the men of Beth Shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD. He struck fifty thousand and seventy men of the people, and the people lamented because the LORD had struck the people with a great slaughter.
The Ark at Kirjath Jearim
And the men of Beth Shemesh said, “Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? And to whom shall it go up from us?”
They looked into the ark of the law
If you fall from grace is to go back to the law. You fall from the high ground
To look into the ark you have to push away the mercy seat and take the 10 commandments out
The wood is humility
Only Christ can keep the law
2 Corinthians 3:7
Glory of the New Covenant
But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
If a revival can stop because of sin, it will never have begun
Where is your trust?
You can eat well and exercise but your trust is in the finished work of Jesus Christ
Earth has fallen. We cannot put our trust in the fallen creation.
By His stripe we are healed.
Your intend is right. But where is your real trust.
You can go to the doctor but pray to God and put your trust in the Lord
You fall from grace when you trust in the things than the Lord
Put your trust in the Lord. If the Lord leads you to take something, put your trust in the Lord so that the glory is to the Lord
Fallen from grace is fallen from favour
When you try to earn favour with them, you fall from grace
When you are man pleaser you fall from grace
Galatians 1:9-10
As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
To Him be all the glory !
1 Kings 1:5-6 (ESV)
Adonijah Sets Himself Up as King
Now Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, “I will be king.” And he prepared for himself chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. His father had never at any time displeased him by asking, “Why have you done thus and so?” He was also a very handsome man, and he was born next after Absalom.
One of the ways to bring up children without 10 commandments is identity.
You are a Jesus’ boy. A Jesus’ boy don’t steal. You affirm them when they fall
Matthew 4:3
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
The devil took away the word “beloved”
Affirm their beloved-ness
A good doctor look to cure his patient. Not to please them
Grace is what gives us everything.
We don’t want to fall from grace
Romans 5:17
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
To ℓσνє someone is not to be afraid of the person
Ephesians 5:25
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
Don’t fall from grace trying to earn favour with people
What if we are justified by Christ?
Christ become of effect.
