Sermon Note
Pastor Lian
Psalms 65:11
You crown the year with Your goodness,
And Your paths drip with abundance.
We walk in His path, our path will dripped with abundance. Abundance of His favour, His provision and joy in our lives.
Hebrews 3:10-12
Therefore I was angry with that generation,
And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart,
And they have not known My ways.’
So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ”
Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;
The Lord will cause our hearts to be at rest. Heart filled with His rest. Rest in Him. Rest in His goodness.
This year our heart shall be in rest. Resting in Him.
Matthew 11:28-29
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
He does not want us to labour or heavy laden.
The Lord does not want us to be anxious. He wants us to come to Him like a little child.
Little children when they are afraid or unwell, all they ask for, is they want their parents.
This is the picture the Lord wants to give to us this year. We will be like little children come to Him. I want my Jesus. I want my Abba God
He will give us rest.
Good news ! This year, if you have been fearful, the Lord said I will give. He wants to give us rest.
To remain, to take ease
This year we come to our Daddy God. Put Jesus in the centre and allow Him in. We will remain and be anchored. Inner posture and resting in our God.
This year as we position ourselves inner posture of rest, provision, protection, preservation, will happen for us.
Him giving to us rest.
When we prioritised Jesus, He comes into the centre place in our lives. As we see Him, His very presence will bring such a rest in our spirit, in our soul and in our mind.
This year we will be so rested. We will keep taking and taking from Him.
Isaiah 30:15
For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel:
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”
But you would not,
Bring Him back into centre place. Return to grace.
John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Return to grace Himself.
In returning and rest you shall be saved.
In returning and rest, you shall be saved.
They shall be victory for your child. The Lord will protect this relationship for you. In returning to grace Himself.
Grace is supply.
Your child will be rescued.
Lets attack worry, fear and anxiety
God wants us to put worry aside.
How to stop worrying?
Matthew 6:31
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
Matthew 6:31
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Do not Worry = Take No Thoughts
Don’t allow negative and repetitive thoughts to come into our mind.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The Lord wants to do renovation of our mind this year with His Word. Let His Word renew our mind.
God will first do something new and renovate our mind before He does new things in our lives.
I will take no thoughts. I will not worry. We will refuse and reject worry
Keep hearing and hearing and replacing the negative thoughts.
Cast all our cares upon Him for He cares for you
He will take care of every cares you will cast upon Him.
Take no thoughts saying.
Say what you want to see.
Faith is a rest. Rest in His faithfulness.
2 Corinthians 4:13
And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,
Speak what we believe and not speak what we see.
Speak forth your miracle.
Your miracle is in your mouth
The Lord does not want us to think we are on our own this year.
We choose rest.
Exodus 17:8-12
Victory over the Amalekites
(Gen. 14:7; Num. 13:29; 14:25)
Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
Matthew 26:53
Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?
He hung there in love for us.
He took every curse so that we might be blessed.
What you see is His perfect love
Perfect love will drive out every fear
God turned His back on His Son so that today we can cry out to Jesus
He made the full price for our redemption. Let His perfect love drives out every fear in our heart.
We shall see rest and acceleration this year.
