God is a God of miracle. Our provision supposed to be miraculous
Romans 1:16-17
The Just Live by Faith
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
In righteousness you shall be established
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the LORD.
When Jesus died for us, judgement is rolled back from our lives
Isaiah 54:14
In righteousness you shall be established;
You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;
And from terror, for it shall not come near you.
This is the heritage of the servant of God
Their righteousness is from Me
Fixed your feet solidly on this truth
Salvation is in all inclusive words
We live by the gospel
Wholeness even for your body
Health for your mind
Yeshua name means salvation
Are you believing the gospel
Is from faith to faith
The route is the gospel
It must be believed upon
To everyone who believed, it will result in salvation
The more self conscious i am, the more condemned i became
The personal pronounce appeared
The law makes us self conscious
The secret of joy is to be delivered from self.
Behold His glory
Lets look at the gospel of Jesus Christ which Paul preached
Long before man falls, God has the answer. The answer is Jesus Christ
The full gospel came through Apostle Paul
Paul never saw Jesus on the cross
It was personal revelation
Paul was religious terrorist
God did not send a lightning
God shine His light on Paul
He came in grace and shine His light on Paul
Acts 2:5
The Crowd’s Response
And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
Paul was given full revelation of gospel which the rest learnt from
Through Jesus we are all declared righteous.
This came from the ministry of Paul
Moses did not come out with the law. God wrote the law.
You can receive good you don’t deserve.
This takes grace
That is why Paul can say my gospel
Starting from inside out. Salvation for your spirit.
Eternal life
The gospel is preached in early church accompanying with signs and wonders
We need to rediscover the gospel
Is the true gospel believed upon that brings well being in every areas in our lives
Acts 13:14-16
But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down. And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Men and brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.”
Then Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, “Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen:
Acts 17:23
for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:
TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:
Acts 13:38-39
Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
We have discovered what Paul preached.
Through this Man, Jesus Christ, is preached to you the forgiveness of sin
God offered a free gift of the forgiveness of sin. It is only to receive. When you receive that, God called it repentance
You believe you are forgiven of all your sins through Jesus Christ
It is unqualified, unconditional
The gospel is all about justification by faith
We need to rediscover the gospel of Jesus Christ.
By Him everyone who believes is justified from all things
Justified – declared righteous
Acts 13:39 (YLT)
and from all things from which ye were not able in the law of Moses to be declared righteous, in this one every one who is believing is declared righteous;
Acts 13:39-45
and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. Beware therefore, lest what has been spoken in the prophets come upon you:
‘Behold, you despisers,
Marvel and perish!
For I work a work in your days,
A work which you will by no means believe,
Though one were to declare it to you.’ ”
Blessing and Conflict at Antioch
So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul.
Matt 8:10 NASB
Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.
Galatians 3:12 (ESV)
But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.”
The law makes you self conscious
Romans 4:14
For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect,
To continue in the grace of God
Don’t start from faith and go to work
Maintain that faith that you are declared righteous through Christ
Almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God
To hear the gospel
We are called to preach the gospel of grace
People when they know the truth will response to it
God wants us to be preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ
Study this 3 areas
- doing something to position Israel
- Doing something for the church of Jesus Christ
- For the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ
WW1 – lasted for 5 years. Ended 1918
Gave the Jews a chance to return to Israel
It was a positioning of the land
For the Jews to return back from Europe. Many of them did not want to go back. It was 1917
50 years from 1917 was a 6 days war.
Jerusalem fell back in the hands of Jews
WW2 was preparing for the people to return to the land
God’s heart is out to redeem Israel
The preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ is going forth like never before
The technology needed for social media to be in place.
God knew the world will be so wired that the preaching of Jesus Christ will go forth
We are flowing with God and God will supply
Galatians 1:6-9
Only One Gospel
I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
Is a double curse on minster who pervert the gospel
God loves people and don’t want His people to hear a perverted gospel
The gospel the grace of God
When someone is under curse, supply is drying up
We are in the acceptable year of the Lord
If we preach the true gospel of grace, we will be doubly blessed!
God loves people and want His people to hear the gospel of grace
God does not judge because of people sinning
Acts 13:11
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
God will oppose those who oppose the work of Jesus Christ
Matthew 11:20-23
Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
The miracle of grace
The rejection of grace is far worse than just sinning
Capernaum saw the miracle of grace, heard the gospel of grace yet rejected grace.
Capernamum rejected grace and that was the worse sin than the sin of Sodom
The key to reach out to people who are in Sodom or Tyre.
The key is the mighty works
We preach grace and we pray for signs and healing and restoration
When they receive it, the goodness of God will lead them to repentance
Come in grace and the mighty works done in them, they would have remained. There will be repentance
Paul gathering the elders
Acts 20:20-23
how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.
God is for me. God loves me
Christ died for my sins
Repentance towards (Eis)
To preach the gospel of grace is preaching the kingdom of God
Whole counsel of God
The law unveiled Christ
Overseers
Overseeing – talking abt leaders in the church
Acts 20:28
Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
Compassion for those who were weary
See people as flock
Pastors leaders, people are hungry
Lead them to green pastures. God will restore their souls and their bodies
To feed. To tend to the sheep
Acts 20:30-33
Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.
“So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel.
The whole counsel of God is the word of His grace
We need to be built up before we can receive His inheritance
Healing. They need to hear the Word
The word of grace able to build you up and give you
Give you an inheritance among those who are sanctified
Right now, declare yourself that you are the righteousness of God in Christ
Isaiah 54:13-14
All your children shall be taught by the LORD,
And great shall be the peace of your children.
In righteousness you shall be established;
You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;
And from terror, for it shall not come near you.
Once you are established in righteousness, you shall not be oppressed
You shall be far from fear
Isaiah 54:15
Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me.
Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.
All those gathered against you will fall away
Isaiah 54:17
