Resurrection Sunday!
Today we celebrate the greatest event in all history, the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because He lives we can live tomorrow.
The same Jesus who conquered death and live. Death is foreign to the nature of God.
Free choice does not mean u r free to choose the result. The result will be established already. If the soul sin, u shall die. God never meant for us to die. God called death an enemy. The shortest verse is Jesus wept. He knew it was never meant for man to die. He wept at Lazarus
God is a God of order, beauty, loveliness and symmetry yet at the same time He has to execute justice.
What He is and what He does, He has to precise as a Judge. He has to push judgement.
God is love. Old age, depression and death came in. But this is not God’s plan.
God hate sin but God loves man. God has to judge sin but God loves man
Christ died for us while we are still sinner.
Sin is in the blood. There is price to sin, and that is death.
Jesus will judge the devil and save the sinner.
He will differentiate between the two.
God sent His Son to die for our sins.
Romans 4:24-25
but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.
John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Anything that destroy is not from God.
There is no sickness and diseases and everyone is forever young in heaven.
Heaven there is nothing lacking. Everyone is free and joyful.
God wants us to have spring in our steps and joyful. Our peace and joy the devil come n steal. Jesus come that we may have life and life more abundantly
Who was delivered for our offences.
Under law means u r under God’s demands.
If you don’t see your need, you don’t see your need for your Saviour.
God sees the sin in our heart.
God gave man the law.
Man cannot but have lustful thoughts. The law show man up.
You shall love but man’s nature is to hate.
A mirror reflects accurately. You cannot blame the mirror.
Nothing wrong with the law. But the law is the knowledge of sin.
Have you hate someone in your heart? All of us have sin and come short of the glory of God.
All of us are dead. Jesus did not come to make bad people good. He came and make dead people live.
Under law, God has to punished sin. Under grace, God will by no means remember our sins. Under law God demand righteousness from man. Under grace, God gives righteousness as a gift because of what Jesus did.
He became surety. Surety has the idea of bill. Jesus became the bill Himself. He was punished by God. God designed it to be so.
Same God of love can give vent to His heart of love.
God torn the veil from top to bottom and it is as if He said welcome home, welcome to Me.
God is righteous in making us righteous
The same sin cannot be tried twice.
Numbers 5:1-3
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse. You shall put out both male and female; you shall put them outside the camp, that they may not defile their camps in the midst of which I dwell.”
All men has sins. The picture of leprosy is that they need to be put out of camp.
He cleansed the leper.
The woman with discharge, the smaller touch on Jesus healed the woman.
What the law cannot do for man, grace did and much more.
Leviticus 14:1-7
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “This shall be the law of the leper for the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest. And the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall examine him; and indeed, if the leprosy is healed in the leper, then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop. And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose in the open field.
The holy spirit brings us to Jesus.
Switch off your head and switch on your heart.
God give us free choice. You are free. God does not take that away from you.
When we are in heaven one day, we got the Lord to thank.
The plan of God for man has been executed.
Outside the camp is where the leper is. Inside the camp is where fellowship, good things happen.
Jesus left the camp, He left heaven to us.
Jesus died outside the camp.
Hebrews 13:12-13
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.
Two living clean birds.
Birds like dove and pigeons considered clean in those days.
Jesus’ back was bleeding. Not even a sliver of skin left.
Jesus offered Himself
Wood represents man. Jesus came as Man.
7 in the Bible is nos of perfection.
When Jesus healed the leper He said be cleansed and not be healed.
7 times is perfect cleansing.
The living birds cannot be let go until we pronounce him clean.
Jesus resurrection is God’s divine confirmation.
Jesus was laid in the prison of death. Who came out? Jesus came out and death did not.
You have peace with God therefore you can have the peace of God
The only thing that was manmade is Jesus’ wound
Christ’s risen means we are cleansed and justified. We are the justified person in God’s eyes.
God raised Jesus without our sins.
You and I now stand in perfect sanding.
Your justification is not based on your work
Jesus raised from the dead because of our justification.
If you are righteous, expect good things to happen to you.
Expect when you pray, God heard your prayer
The seed of the righteous is delivered
Jesus came out of the grave and that is your justification
He did it all for us.
God loves you long before you realised you are been loved.
You are not a face in the crowd
God knows you by name.
The Father numbers the hair on your head.
He cares for the details of your life.
We are righteous and declared righteous
Acts 13:37-39
but He whom God raised up saw no corruption. Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins.
Unconditional proclamation.
By Jesus everyone who believed is justified from all things.
If the bird is to be let go, the leper has to be pronounced clean.
Jesus cannot be let go of the prison of death until God pronounced us righteous
As they went they were cleansed. The moment you take the first step of faith, God meets you.
One out of 9 came back to Jesus. He knew who cleansed him.
Mount of Beatitudes
Great multitudes followed Him
Jesus sat down and preached the sermon. At the end of His preaching He came down.
Matthew 8:1-4
Jesus Cleanses a Leper
(Mark 1:40–45; Luke 5:12–16)
When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
Jesus touched him. When Jesus answer your requests He always over answer.
Be careful what you ask from Jesus.
Your prayers are the prayers of righteous men.
You are in Risen Christ risen
Once you are declared righteous, even God Himself cannot punish you.
If God is for us, who can be against us.
Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world.
They will be formed but will not be against you. God will fight the battle for you.
God prepared a table before us in the presence of your enemy.
The day the leper is cleansed, Israel Messiah has come!
We are not talking about religion we are talking about reality.
God so loved the world that God gave His Son
You are as righteous as Christ has made you.
