Sermon note (4th svc)
Whenever we read from the Bible and we read about destroying enemies, those enemies back then under the law are real enemies. It is also spiritual enemies; sicknesses and diseases.
2000 years ago, Jesus hang on the cross and by His stripe we are healed.
Animal sacrifice, they find the vessel in the vein and the animal straight away unconscious and there is no shock.
Animal first killed and put on the altar.
Our Lord Jesus suffered first. For the animals there were no suffering. Jesus suffered first.
Wound for wound. Burning for burning. Stripe for stripe. For everything we gone through, Jesus bore it in His body.
The bible never said Jesus bore our sin in His spirit. His soul was an offering for sin. It is never His spirit bore our sins.
Jesus did not die spiritually. Jesus is very God and very Man.
The animals put on the sacrificial altar, they skinned them.
Jesus’ bone looked and stared at Him. Jesus was very Man. As Man He could feel pain. He did not use His deity to stop His pain.
Father into Your hands I commit My spirit.
Jesus did not go to heal to finish the work of redemption. He went to hell to proclaim the work of redemption.
Deuteronomy 25:1-3
Chapter 25
“If there is a dispute between men, and they come to court, that the judges may judge them, and they justify the righteous and condemn the wicked, then it shall be, if the wicked man deserves to be beaten, that the judge will cause him to lie down and be beaten in his presence, according to his guilt, with a certain number of blows. Forty blows he may give him and no more, lest he should exceed this and beat him with many blows above these, and your brother be humiliated in your sight.
This is Jewish law.
The Roman is different from the Jewish law
The Roman law also 40 times.
By His stripes, we are healed!
Isaiah 53:4-6
Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
1 Peter 2:24-25
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Himself. He gave Himself. It was Himself. He gave Himself. In His own body, He bore our sins.
By His single stripe we are healed.
Singular Stripe – Molops
If the back of our Lord Jesus was beaten in such a way there was even a sliver of skin left, then the word Molops cannot be used.
It was one big whole (stripe) on His back
With His stripe (one whole stripe) we are healed. Even His internal organs can be seen.
It is not because we have done something great. It is because Jesus was scourged and He has paid for us.
Jesus was scourged.
People who are complaining grow old very fast. Complaining is remain. To spend a night. If you complain about the problem, you spend a night with the problem.
The most frequently used is the word Shepherd. He understood how to take care of the flock.
With His stripe we are healed. We are like sheep have gone astray. For you WERE (past tense) Our Shepherd watch over us all the time.
We have been brought back.
Live life feeling the Lord is watching over us all the time.
Many young people when they stepped into the national service, they feel so cold. If you realise the Lord is with you and watching over you, you will be healthy and you see favour.
You have returned to the Shepherd and the overseer of the soul.
Shepherd and the flock.
When you are flowing with the Lord, the Lord wants you to be happy.
Knowing He was betrayed, He wanted His disciples to be joyful.
Kara comes from grace.
We rejoice not because we got the promotion.
We rejoice because of grace. Rejoice IN the Lord.
Surely! Jesus took our diseases! When it comes to diseases, Holy Spirit put SURELY Jesus took our diseases.
Kholee -> sicknesses
There is a secondary word, grief.
Sorrows -> makov – pains
Isaiah 53:4-6

Matthew 8:16-17
Many Healed After Sabbath Sunset
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sicknesses.”
Jesus healed ALL who came to Him.
He Himself took our infirmities. (Infirmities in the Greek means diseases)
We got to feel protected. We are seating at the secret place of the Most High.
Even though it was raining, we are not in the rain. We are in the secret place of the most high.
In Christ Jesus is the place of loved, security.
Psalms 91:7
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
In Christ Jesus, we are secured. That is our position. Live life protected and loved. God is watching you. Feel secure.
Look for the blessed hope. When Jesus comes for us, the first thing He does is to change our bodies. The person you see in the coffin is just a shell.
God is unveiling more and more truth.
We want to learn more. The best person to go to is to our Lord.
Feed on the sin offering not on the sin.
When you listen to people, see Jesus. The sin is unspeakable, see Jesus borne it!
Look to Jesus and feed on Jesus and this will heal you in your counselling. We become stronger when we feed on Jesus.
We are all going to be counsellor to a world that is worn out and dying.
One of the works of the anti Christ is to worn down us.
To heal is the word Raphael
Rapha is the word heal
Raphael is God heals
Rapha -> relax
Rest is empowerment and replenishing
Are you doing things that wear you down or spend time with people who wear you down?
Are you been worn down?
Receive the Manna from the Lord everyday.
The moment you see you started to feel worn down in handling people whom you counsel, you are worn down. Guard this carefully.
If you are worn down, you speak out of worn down state. Worn down people are not interesting people to listen to.
There is sorrow when our loved ones go through something bad in this world.
People who are depressed are more subject to diseases.
There are women who have breast cancer or acute diseases, they had things in life before the diseases eg divorce, that cause their bodies to break down.
Salvation refer to health, healing.
2 Corinthians 7:10
For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
Repentance is change of mind.
Produces wholeness deliverance and health. Sozo!
Change your mind, experience wholeness. That wholeness is something you will not regret.
Sorrow of the world produces death.
Feast day in Israel, one of the first thing they said to you is Joyful, be of good cheers!
Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones.
Is a medicine that has no chemical and side effects.
Merry – celebrating and happy heart!
Your reason for joy is independent of happening.
The book of Philippians has the most happy words. He wrote when he was in prison!
Rejoice! Rejoice in the Lord. Again I said rejoice!
Rejoice in the Lord! Not rejoice in the happening.
Keep a merry heart!
Joy in the Lord releases healing!
A broken spirit drys your bone! So many conditions happen because of dry bones
Growing old is moisture gone.
Our blood is manufactured in the bones. (Marrow)
Deuteronomy 34:7
Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.
Moses when he was 120 years old, his eyes were not dim and his moisture did not fled.
Deut 34:7 YLT
And Moses [is] a son of a hundred and twenty years when he dieth; his eye hath not become dim, nor hath his moisture fled.
When your bone dries up, you shrink and you look smaller.
We believe God not to receive dry bones.
All things have become new! Our DNA has become new! We are of God! We have the last Adam’s DNA! We have our Heavenly Father’s DNA!
When you serve the Lord, moisture flows!
King is in resident in our hearts!
You cannot say you have merry heart and you did not notify your face!
A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance
It takes more muscles to frown than to smile
Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones.
Proverbs 15:13
A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance,
But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
If everything is perfect, how to exercise faith in Him.
By His stripe we are healed.
Psalms 129:3
The plowers plowed on my back;
They made their furrows long.”
It was cat of 9 tails. He took the blow that rained on Him.
We took the place of righteousness and Jesus took the place of the wicked
Are we taking the place of the righteousness ?
Jesus acknowledge Himself as identified with sin.
By whose stripe we are healed explain the righteousness
When Jesus died on the cross we died with Him.
Righteousness is a gift. We are to live like we are the righteous. By whose stripe we are healed.
Ecclesiastes 9:7
Go, eat your bread with joy,
And drink your wine with a merry heart;
For God has already accepted your works.
First part is communion.
Communion is thanksgiving.
Is joy! Is thank you the Lord! Eat your bread with joy and wine with merry heart!
Eat your bread with joy
Drink your wine with a merry heart!
Don’t neglect the Lord’s supper!
For the joy before Him, He endured the cross.
On the cross He redeemed us from the curse.
Are you worn down and stressed?
Jesus said come to Me and He will give us rest.
