Redemption by Blood and Redemption by Power
Joshua 13:1 (ESV)
Land Still to Be Conquered
Now Joshua was old and advanced in years, and the LORD said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to possess.
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Part of the warfare is realise that the devil is defeated foe. We need to fight the fight of faith
Take our posture of rest in Christ
We don’t have to fight the defeated foe. If we fight him we are saying he is not defeated.
Devil is accuser.
The armour of God consist of the breastplate of righteousness
Ephesians 6:16
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Our fight is the fight of faith
There is a difference between redemption by blood and redemption by power.
The children of Israel – redemption by blood (on the doorpost) the blood of Jesus Christ cleansed us from every sin.
Through the blood we are blessed and healed.
In our daily lives is redemption by power.
Psalms 105:37
He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Exodus 7:13 ESV
Still Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.
God saved His people even through the hardened heart
1 Corinthians 10:1-2
For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,
Even though we are saved we have the flesh.
The flesh is in the body and it is part of us that we inherited from Adam. Every child is born with that flesh. Some call it the old man.
We are the brand new creation in Christ
The flesh is the part of us that wants to sin.
Romans 8:8-9
So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
We are no more in the flesh. We are in the spirit because God’s spirit dwell in us.
But we are battling with the flesh. We feel frustrated over it when the flesh raises up. This show that we are truly born again. We don’t want to live a defeated life either.
Romans 7:20 KJV
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
In my flesh dwell no good things
Romans 7:18 KJV
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
You are no longer you. Look at Jesus. That is your true self today.
Christ is our lives. We are no longer in ourselves. We are in Christ. As He is, so are we in this world.
1 John 4:17
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
Ephesians 5:30
For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
Our bodies is one. We share His body. We are one in the spirit and one in His body
Abide in Me. Just remain attached to the Vine and the Vine life will flow into us. I am the Vine, you are the branches.
The more you structure you restrict the sap flow from the vine.
His Father is the husbandman. He will cleanse us and we bring forth more fruits
Christ is our true self. The beautiful and altogether Jesus whom we want to be more and more. This Jesus is our real self.
As He is so, are we in this world. As He is, glorified already, so are we in this world.
We do not need to try to make it happen. It has happened already.
Truth is in God’s eyes. God sees truth that is beyond natural into eternity
We are raised out of death with Christ
We seat with Christ
We are now with Him on the throne, joint heir with Christ
You never know how much God knows you until you know how much God loves His Son
Genesis 22:2
Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
Genesis 22:13
Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
God cannot accept a blemish sacrifice.
Horn means a ram that is mature
This ram went right in with its horn caught.
The Father sent Jesus.
Ephesians 1:6
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Charitoo – highly favoured in the beloved
Luke 1:28
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
We are highly favoured in the beloved. This is who we are!
The blood of Jesus washes away our sins.
At the cross, Christ died as us
I am beyond repair. I cannot help myself. I am the factory of sin. At the cross, God removed the factory.
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
The I from Adam was crucified. Now the real I from Christ live in Him
I live by the faith of the Son of God
We live by the faith of the Son of God, not in.
I rest in the faith of the Son of God
As Jesus is, so are we in this world. Lets not limit to spiritual.
There is yet much land to possess.
The Lord’s body that borne all our sicknesses, He rose from the death without them.
As Jesus is free from sicknesses, so are we in this world
Ephesians 5:30
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
We are one with Jesus. Lets possess it.
We are not what we feel. We walk by faith and not by sight.
John 20:29
Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Faith means to count it so because it is so.
Romans 6:9-11
knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Died to sin once for all.
Likewise (in the same manner)
Reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin.
This is not progressive death to sin. This is once and for all.
We have died to sin once for all at the cross!
We are dead to sin as much as Israel is on the other side of the dead sea and the enemies are buried!
Hazon vision. Are u seeing what is God showing you ?
See the enemies dead!
Reckon yourselves to be indeed dead to sin but ALIVE TO GOD
Romans 6:7 ASV
for he that hath died is justified from sin
by watching over the flesh and praying against it, we are saying it is alive.
We have died with Christ
When the feeling is stirred up, ignore it. Christ is my real identity.
You are the righteousness of God in Christ
Be Christ conscious
Feeling and experience will not hold you in the long run
Hebrews 11:29
By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.
Have faith that God is favouring them
God knows reality like no one can
By faith – they passed thru the red sea
Attempting to do so – try out by experience
When they attempted, they were drowned
Exodus 15:1
The Song of Moses
Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying:
“I will sing to the LORD,
For He has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider
He has thrown into the sea!
1st recorded song. Jesus is in the midst. It is all about the Lord
Exodus 15:8
And with the blast of Your nostrils
The waters were gathered together;
The floods stood upright like a heap;
The depths congealed in the heart of the sea.
It is very hard to drown horses. It must be a lot of water to drown horses.
God caused the bodies to be swept to the other side of the shore.
Exodus 14:30
So the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
Philippians 3:3
For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,
We rejoice in Christ Jesus
We look to the Lord. He is our true supply.
Worship God in the spirit. Put no confidence in the flesh.
Good flesh is more subtle than bad flesh
What has died at the cross is gone
If we treat the flesh as alive, we are saying God’s word is not true and we will experience defeat
We don’t need feeling to tell us something is real.
We need integrity of the person who tell us
Romans 8:1-4 (NASB)
Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
We have greater supply than we ever need in Christ
This land that God wants us to possess
You have passed through the red sea at the cross
You are on the other side of death were satan cannot follow
Colossians 3:4
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
