Sermon Note
Pastor Lian
The Lamb of God is our righteousness and the path of the righteous shall shine ever brighter unto the perfect day!
Unveil the heart of our Saviour.
Psalms 28:9
Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.
Save us and shepherd us!
Shepherding is not just for eternity, is daily victory!
Many moments of victory everyday of this year. Shepherding is the key!
You are the good shepherd. Save us and shepherd us.
John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Something has been killed, stolen, fear not, Jesus has come that we may have life and life more abundantly !
John 10:11
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
Experiencing the life and life abundantly is connected to us walking with Jesus as our good Shepherd.
See ourselves as sheep so critical in our lives
The Lord did not call us the spirit of tiger or hawks
Some people don’t like to be sheep.
When a sheep fall on its back it cannot get up on its own. Sheep gets frighten easily.
The Lord did not give us the bravery of tiger or speed of hawks but the Lord give us something better. We are the only ones who have shepherd.
The flesh likes to depend upon itself. The Lord makes us sheep because He wants to have a relationship with us.
The strength of tiger and flight of hawks cannot bless us.
Come on, awaken.
Awaken to who your Saviour has made you to be. A sheep of its pasture. A sheep whom He cares for infinitely
A sheep He laid down His life for. What more won’t He gives us.
Today we are going to walk tall knowing our Shepherd laid down His life for us.
Matthew 9:36 CSB
“When he saw the crowds, he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd.”
You may come in with some problem but that is not the thing. Jesus knows. If they are distressed and dejected, there is only one reason, they are living like sheep without shepherd.
Your Shepherd, He is good Shepherd.
He gave us everything.
Matthew 9:36 HCSB
“When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were weary and worn out, like sheep without a shepherd.”
He is the Answer!
The answer is not to get angry with the economy. The answer is to say Jesus You are my good Shepherd. The Lord is my Shepherd i shall not lack! I have everything i need!
Do shepherd breaks the legs of sheep when they go astray?
Shepherds will answer this : absolutely not!
The sheep are the ones who get their own legs injured and the shepherd will nurse them.
Do not use the human shepherd to compare with Jesus the Shepherd
Isaiah 40:11
He will feed His flock like a shepherd;
He will gather the lambs with His arm,
And carry them in His bosom,
And gently lead those who are with young.
Can you sense His love, His care, His gentleness? This is our good Shepherd
David believed because He carried the heart of his good shepherd.
Those who receive the abundance of grace, they won’t want to sin. They receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, they will reign in life.
The woman who sin, Jesus said neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.
This is the heart of our Saviour.
As a sheep, depend on Him and see Him take care of us.
Psalms 23:1
The LORD the Shepherd of His People
A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall never lack any good!
You will never just end up with what you have. You will always end up with more than what you have.
The issue we have is always not enough
It is not how much we have, it is how you see.
How we see is so important !
See how much you already have!
When we see the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall never lack.
You start to value the good Shepherd
If you put all your demand on him and her to be your everything, you will never have enough
The Lord is my Shepherd, I look to Him.
I shall never be in want!
You shall have life and life more abundantly
We don’t depend on someone else or something else to make us happy.
We know when He made us, we are more than enough
Psalms 139:17-18
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
God knows me so intimately and loves me so deeply.
Ephesians 1:3-6
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
He loves and gives Him great pleasure when we talk to Him and ask Him
You are accepted in the Beloved.
He loves us so so much!
Chew on this, this year.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack of anything good.
Psalms 23:2-3
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Rest first.
Rest in your soul. When can you rest?
When the work is finished than you can rest.
On the cross Jesus said it is finished!
Rest! He has done everything at the cross.
Rest and walk in it. Believe it.
Is only when you are really loved, than you can rest.
When you are truly loved, you can rest.
Intentionally Jesus laid down for us.
Rest and God will restores your soul!
When your soul is restored, everything else is restored.
Expect the restoration!
As we walk everyday, we keep walking in the righteousness of God in Christ
The righteous are bold as a lion!
You will be so bold!
It is really not about us. That is why we can be so bold.
People who are evil has evil conscience. They run when no one is chasing them.
Whatever you are going back to, you can stand tall because you know the Lord is your shepherd, you shall not lack.
His rod and staff are there to comfort you, not to beat you.
Our cup will not be full. It will run over.
That is the God of the much more!
Psalms 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.
Hebrews 13:20-21
Benediction, Final Exhortation, Farewell
Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
We will end strong. He is the great shepherd !
1 Peter 5:4
and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
Lets live for eternal purpose. Lets know our shepherd, the good shepherd, the great shepherd and the chief shepherd! You shall not lack!
