Pastor Prince preaches Christ. Grace is a Person
Preach Christ and Him crucified
Luke 7:29-30 (ESV)
(When all the people heard this, and the tax collectors too, they declared God just, having been baptized with the baptism of John, but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.)
Luke 7:36
A Sinful Woman Forgiven
One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table.
Luke 7:36-50 (ESV)
A Sinful Woman Forgiven
One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table. And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.” And Jesus answering said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered, “Say it, Teacher.”
“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?” Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.” Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?” And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Jesus healed with a word. Only God can do that.
He provoked John into believing.
Luke 7:29
(When all the people heard this, and the tax collectors too, they declared God just, having been baptized with the baptism of John,
He was a forerunner
By receiving John’s ministry, they are saying they are justifying God
Luke 7:30
but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.)
John was proclaiming first and second coming of Christ. The coming includes day of vengeance
Connection with God
Pray for me that i have the word to say and the boldness to say.
The gospel has to touch your heart. The gospel must affect your heart. If it affects your hearts, it affects you.
Salvation is objective. It is based upon fact outside our feeling.
Jesus Christ was crucified and this is our great assurance.
We must preach the gospel to ourselves everyday because we forget that.
Romans 2:1
God’s Righteous Judgment
Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
God’s forgiveness is greater than our greatest sins.
John 8:24
I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.”
Simon rejected God’s forgiveness
What is the connection between forgiveness and ℓσνє?
1 John 4:9
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
1 John 4:10-11
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
ℓσνє follows forgiveness.
A person walking in ℓσνє is receive
She washes His feet with her tears.
She was weeping. She did not care what others think.
When you are truly who God made you to be
God chooses to define His ℓσνє by sending His son.
When God said i receive you, He is saying I ℓσνє you.
God’s ℓσνє is expressed by way of forgiveness.
Romans 1-3
Romans 1:16-18
The Righteous Shall Live by Faith
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.
Justification by grace alone, in Christ
Default mode is self-righteousness
You were weak ungodly and enemy. This was our conditions.
God is Godly.
The ultimate test of your spiritual reality is your measure of the grace of God
2 Corinthians 3:18
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Profound appreciation
2 Corinthians 4:10
always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
We are realising what He did for me.
This is not simply a kind gesture. That is necessity.
God could not send His best angel. He had to come Himself.
You can meditate on specific verses. In addition there is a way you can carry.
Proclaim His death, everytime you take holy communion.
The more you realized God’s forgiveness is God’s ℓσνє. It helps us receive and helps us to let go.
And realised how profoundly you are forgiven.
