If you have been trusting God for your family salvation, don’t be discouraged and don’t give up.
As God has sowed the seeds, He has watered it. God wants to save fathers. It is not just save from hell, He wants to save you in your career and health and He wants to protect you!
Revelation of Jesus Christ
Malachi 4:5-6
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
And he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
The solution to fatherless generation and orphan spirit is the church of Jesus Christ
The church is not just a building
The church is the assembly and gathering of God’s people
You make up the church.
The building is not a church. The people make up the church.
In the father’s house we have many fathers.
When we wish someone, we are wishing the person a happy day.
Our heavenly Father is a happy Father
1 Timothy 1:11
according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.
Blessed God -> makarios means blessed and happy
You serve and has a happy God
Asher means happy
It is His good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luke 12:32
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Matthew 7:9-11
Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Our heavenly Father is a God of how much more!
John 17:24-26
“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
The Lord is not bound by time. He is the Lord of time and space
Where I am, you may be also.
Jesus came to reveal the name of God
I am that I am.
There are many beautiful names of God
Jesus came to reveal one name, Father
Mark 14:36
And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”
The thought of a holy God having to bear the sin at the cross and being forsaken at the cross, He felt great stress.
He made a choice.
Love is a choice.
You cannot make decision based on feeling alone.
Jesus was pressed and crushed and anointing came forth.
Love involves sacrifice
Nevertheless not as I will but as He will
Love is a choice. Agape, the self-sacrificial love
As we go through challenges and trials, what comes out we are like olive trees, anointing comes out
He is my Abba Father.
Galatians 4:4-7
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
1500 years after the law was given and the best of them failed
Those who has been redeemed from the law is not under the law. We have received the adoption as son!
Huiothesia – sonship
When God as father was first mentioned in the bible, God as Father was an unknown concept to them.
Deuteronomy 32:5-6
“They have corrupted themselves;
They are not His children,
Because of their blemish:
A perverse and crooked generation.
Do you thus deal with the LORD,
O foolish and unwise people?
Is He not your Father, who bought you?
Has He not made you and established you?
Want to know how the Father looks like? Look at Jesus.
Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
How do we cry out Abba Father?
We cry out joyfully
“This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?”
Romans 8:15 MSG
Spirit of Sonship
Spirit of His Son who dwell in us and He will never leave us nor forsake us
2 Corinthians 6:18
“I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the LORD Almighty.”
