Student of New Covenant
When Jesus share something He will share a sermon to the public.
1 Corinthians 4:15
For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
You can be a student to a rabbi but not very close to the rabbi. But we are family. Sons and father. We are close as family.
Matthew 8:10
When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
It is more important to be intimate with Jesus
Matthew 15:26
But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”
Little puppies
Because of the rejection of Israel.
He called healing “children’s bread”
Son of David is a title only used by the Jews
She came impersonating as Jews. She repented and abandoned the pretence when she knows the Lord knows about it.
The Lord healed her child. She saw that the Lord loves her and her daughter.
We are now sons of God. We don’t see at the bottom of the table. We sit at the master’s table.
We have a Father yet we suffer from orphan’s spirit.
Acts 11:26
And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
Christians = Divinely called!
Matthew 2:12
Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
It is always God revealing something
It is not man’s idea to call disciples christians. It was Holy Spirit who replaced the word disciples to Christians.
Disciple – student, learner
Lamad – to teach
John 6:65
And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”
Being a disciple is not been a advance stage
1 Corinthians 4:15

In the spirit of disciple
You are a son who is a student
You can be a disciple and not be saved.
You are born a son
How do we grow in sonship?
When we were under the law we were infants. Before faith came, the law was given by servant, Moses.
Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
After faith comes, we are no more infants. We are in Christ we are now sons.
In God’s eyes we are full grown sons.
Galatians 3:26
Sons and Heirs
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
We are no more a baby. We are now full-grown sons. We grow by being aware we are sons
Luke 15:31
“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.
Huios – a full grown son.
When you go back to the law, it is a regression.
The prodigal son went home and saw the father’s heart.
The elder son became bitter, jealous.
You must be taught.
A student of God’s grace.
We are growing by unlearning. Unlearning the ways of the world and learning the ways of God.
John 13:4-5
rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.
Our Christian’s growth is know what the Lord has done for us.
We can do good thing but not God’s thing.
What we are discovering is God revealing to us.
Removing and then additional.
The more we learn from holy spirit, it produces humility
We got so much more to learn!
Jesus remove your pride. But if you are humble, you receive much more revelation from Him.
What is the significance of knowing God as our Father?
The blessings of the God most high.
Genesis 14:18
Abram and Melchizedek
(Heb. 7:1, 2)
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High.
I came to reveal the Name.
I have manifested Your name.
The disciples are familiar with the names of God in the Old Testament.
Jesus came to reveal God as Father.
Luke 22:32
But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
The name God wants to be known by is Father.
Your Father knows your needs before you ask.
Is only when we are loved we love
Jesus’ constant declaration of Father’s love for us.
To the world your father could be a famous chef, but to you he is also your father.
There is protection in knowing the name Father.
John 17:11
Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.
John 17:12
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
He protected His disciples in His Father’s name.
We need to emphasise so much more the name of the Father
What you are is a son.
Revelation 14:1
The Lamb and the 144,000
Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.
On the forehead and on the arm.
Boasting in men’s intelligent is the forehead.
When evil comes, and see the name of the forehead, the devil cannot hurt us
Jeremiah 3:19
“But I said:
‘How can I put you among the children
And give you a pleasant land,
A beautiful heritage of the hosts of nations?’
“And I said:
‘You shall call Me, “My Father,”
And not turn away from Me.’
How can I put you?
How can i make you enjoy the beautiful heritage?
Receive the spirit of sonship
The more you say Father, you are conscious you are a son!
Be conscious of God as our Father.
Jesus said He has revealed to us God, the name Father
He is our true Father
Malachi 4:6
And he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
He is the One who introduced to us God as our Father.
Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
A true fear of the Lord
See Jesus’ heart. See what Jesus has done.
Jesus healed everyone who came to Him.
It is important to understand
You can be familiar with someone but not intimate
He does not use special word. Prayer is been before God and spend time in His presence.
What is more important? Talking to God or God talk to you? Wait before God and sense the familiar consciousness
Have a notebook near you when you pray.
God loves me and wants to prosper me.
God reminds us of things we forget.
Spend time been conscious of Him and don’t rush in with our requests
Prayers not based on truth is when we are desperate
If we come in the consciousness of lies, it is not based on truth
Healing is children’s bread. This prayer is based on truth
It is frequency.
Our receiving ends.
We receive His beautiful heritage by calling God our Father.
God chose to give us His Son
The Father loves His Son with all His heart. He gives up His Son for us. He loves us.
Romans 8:32
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
He gives us the best!
How shall He not with Him…
Also FREELY give us ALL things?
Perhaps we are not receiving because we are trying to earn what is freely given to us.
