Sermon Note (2nd service)By Pastor Prince
Hebrew letter is also numbers. Hei is number 5
Zayin is a sword. Root word is food.
The way we war against the enemy, we fight by feeding. We feed on Christ, we feed on the bread of life, guess what, we win!
We eat and that is how we defeat the enemy! Psalm 23.
Either our situation will change or changing slowly or we have changed. I believe something will happen! We are leaving in exciting time!
We are living in dangerous time as well.
God protects His people!
Shin is like a W. Throughout the entire Psalm 91, Zayin is on top of verses on Psalm 91. When we quote Psalm 91 we are unleashing spiritual weapon!
A christian cannot be demon-possessed. As Christ is, so are we in this world.
Are you afraid of something or some areas in our lives, we are thinking wrong in that area. We know when we feel depressed.
If we always believe the worse of people, our resentment will be towards people.
Think of people in negative ways is not good.
If you are feeling fear, there is a wrong believing in that area.
The very thing you are concerned about your child, you are putting your child in the danger. The best you can do for your children is not to be a helicopter over your children. The very area you are fearful of, is the very area you don’t trust God in. If you are over worried, you are thinking the devil has more power than God.
Don’t trust the enemy more than God.
Surrender whatever it is in your life, trust God.
We are here to know the truth and the truth will set you free!
I think we have made faith into a formula.
Hebrews 11:5-6
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he will not see death. He was in heaven with his old body.
Bible way of pleasing God – faith!
Without faith it is impossible to please God!
God is. (Is a blank cheque) if you are lacking, God is your Supply! He wants to be whatever we need Him to be. He is a Rewarder!
The faith that pleases God is a faith that sees God as Rewarder. God gives us the grace to do something.
We owe God the very breath we breathe. Whatever we do in our lives, God gives us the grace to do it!
Perfect is spiritual gift. Every good and perfect gift is from above. We have both!
Medicine is under good gift. Perfect is divine healing. It all comes from God.
1 Corinthians 15:9-10
For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
It is God who works in us and the desire so that we can work it out.
What we don’t want, somebody else will fill it. It is a privilege for us.
Jesus looked at the performance of the 7 churches. He looked at their works. They are using the grace given. Our works reflect if we are using the grace given.
God wants us not to let our grace given be in vain. Burn up and not burn out.
When you do not know how to say no to people, you burn out.
When you do more, is because God gives us the grace to do so.
God rewards. We use our strength for the Lord, He will give us more strength! We use time for the Lord He will multiple time to us!
If He chose our boat, He is favoring us.
Luke 5:1
So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,
Luke 5:2-3
and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
Luke 5:4-6
When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
God will give us more than we ask for! He over-answer our prayers!
Ask God for big prayer and He will exceed it!
Jesus asked him to let down the NETS and he let down the net.
Luke 5:7-10
So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”
For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”
God’s economic is more than demand than the supply!! Much more!!
The boat becomes the magnet! He gave the boat to Jesus for Him to preach in!
When you give something to Jesus, He is a Rewarder! Grace is unearned undeserved favour. When we use the grace He gives us, He reward us for using the grace He gives us! He wants to bless us so much we can bless others!
It is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance
Why not you pray for non-believers instead of judging them?
Don’t be afraid that God will judge us because we are sinful. How can we believe the truth and live a lying lifestyle?
Is all by grace.
Grace people are so confused about rewards. God will find every excuse to bless us!
Matthew 10:41-42
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
We will receive the blessings we bless the prophet when we bless the prophet!
There is a reward for every act of kindness!
God is a God who keeps on rewarding us!
Is us doing something, but our doing something is not our first move. God gives us something first.
Amazing! Beautiful!
Ruth helped her mother in law to do gleanings. It was the most lowly task.
Ruth 2:9-12
Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn.”
So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?”
And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”
A reward from God for running to Him for refuge!! What a God! This is your God, people!! There is a reward even to run to Him for protection!!
He that come to God must believe that He is and He is a Rewarder! Draw near to God!
Under Old Testament they dare not draw near to God. In that days, there were no sacrifices of Jesus Christ.
He is our God who has all the supplies we need!
God came out to where man is! The veil was torn!
This is grace! Yet many religious christians have the old mentality that they are scare to go to God often.
Thank you God that we are not alone and that He is with us.
God is restoring and repairing our bodies. Favor consciousness! We are coming to God all the time.
Offering means drawing near in Hebrew.
Hebrews 10:18-25
Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
Hold Fast Your Confession
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
If you go full time in church is because God calls you, it is not to remiss our sins.
New – freshly killed. As far as God is concerned, live life as if Jesus died just now.
The more we come to God, the healthier we are! It is a new and living way!
We should talk to God all days long!
Only loving Father will teach His children.
He build characters in our lives.
God is working on our characters when we are disappointed with something
God discipline us because He is our Father.
The fact you are a son/daughter, you are forever His
We are all saved. How much grace we use, determine how many cities we rule in future.
Reward system when come to parenting is good. Whether you praise the child is also a reward. Can be something small and not expensive.
God loves us whether we do right or wrong but there is reward when we use grace.
Talk to God all the time.
We are living! The more we talk to Him, the more we are alive!
With raw faith, know that our God is a good God. God, i trust you Lord.
Raw, no emotion faith, speak to God.
David lost a child. He said this. He cannot come to me, but one day i will go to Him.
David next child was Solomon!
Talk to God. Even if something happen, talk to Him.
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Psalms 127:3-4
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Inherit means you receive by grace. Children are heritage from the Lord.
2 Kings 4:8-10
Elisha Raises the Shunammite’s Son
Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly. Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”
2 Kings 4:11-13
And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there. Then he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite woman.” When he had called her, she stood before him. And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ”
She answered, “I dwell among my own people.”
2 Kings 4:14-17
So he said, “What then is to be done for her?”
And Gehazi answered, “Actually, she has no son, and her husband is old.”
So he said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway. Then he said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.”
And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!”
But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.
The power of the spoken blessings.
When God wants to bless us, He brings someone in our lives.
We are looking for people for the reward that only our Jesus can reward us. He does disappoint us as long as He can love us.
If we look to people for reward, we will be disappointed.
God is in control of the “haps” in our lives! When happy haps happen in our lives, we are happy!
God is a Rewarder! He knows when is the right time! Look to God!
Exodus 1:16-21
and he said, “When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.” But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive. So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them, “Why have you done this thing, and saved the male children alive?”
And the midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are lively and give birth before the midwives come to them.”
Therefore God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
Not just a house. God provided families to the midwives.
God does not forget our labour of love!
Grace seems to be slow. Like Sarah compared to Hagar. Grace might be slow, but when blessing comes, it is sure!
1 Samuel 2:18-21
Samuel’s Childhood Ministry
But Samuel ministered before the Lord, even as a child, wearing a linen ephod. Moreover his mother used to make him a little robe, and bring it to him year by year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. And Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, “The Lord give you descendants from this woman for the loan that was given to the Lord.” Then they would go to their own home.
And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the Lord.
The power of spoken blessings!
When we get rewarded, it is something we use that is blessed from Him.
Your faith save you.
Even the reward He gives us is because of the grace He first gave us.
John 21:3-6
Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”
They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?”
They answered Him, “No.”
And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
John 21:9-10
Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”
He made breakfast for His disciples.
He gave them the word of power and yet gave them the credit.
Faith springs out because we see how good God is!
When He gives you the credit, know that is His, not us!
We take our crown and cast at His feet in heaven.
Don’t ever come to a place where we think it is us. It is Him!
