Sermon Note
Pastor Lian
Hope! If you don’t want to be disappointed, HOPE!
Hope does not disappoint.
When we know the holy spirit has poured out, shared upon, profusely gashing into our heart!
We know the love and so sure of His love, we know we will never be disappointed
Keep on hoping!
Psalms 27:14
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
Isaiah 40:31
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
When we hope in the Lord we will be restored! We will soar on winds like eagles!
You will walk and you will not faint.
The Lord wants us to just keep hoping. Hoping in Him.
The Lord wants us to know don’t worry if it take some time. Yes it might take some time but we can still be confident to see the promise of God
Hope arose. Hope continue to arise
The challenge in the challenge is the waiting
The soul when it has to wait; is restless and unable to hold.
An anchor is stop us from drifting away in storm.
When we are anchored, we are sure and steadfast
God wants us to be anchored and abound in hope.
Superabound.
Romans 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The fulfilment of our hope requires some time.
When there is a delay, what do we do?
Exodus 32:1-2
Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”
And Aaron said to them, “Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.”
What we do during delay is so important to us
Watch out when there is a delay in our lives
Golden earrings is picture of divine righteousness
Hearing about our divine righteousness
In the time of delay when we stop hearing our righteousness is righteousness that comes by faith, even in this delay we are complete
Voice of fear. We will hear the voice of fear when it is all about us
When you think it is our spouse who should make the marriage work, we will train our spouse to behave certain way
A love that will not fail or disappoint
This is the Word of grace and can bring us ti His inheritance
People who are highly accomplished has imposter symptoms
They perform and walk away thinking is not good. Self doubt.
You keep looking at yourself and to yourself to perform
That is voice of doubt
Another is voice of condemnation
David fought a Philistine giant
Philistine is wallowing in the dust
We are His beloved in whom He is well pleased even before we did anything good
It is God Himself who justify you
Romans 8:33-35
Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Furthermore!
When the highest of highest make interception for us, we can be confident to see the hope of God
Romans 8:36-39
As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are more than conqueror through Him who loves us
It is a truth. He is making interception for us. What are you going through? Fear not.
Today just by simply being here, totally perfect word
We are the righteousness of God in Christ
Look up and believe and receive
Galatians 3:2-6
This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?
Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
When we know is a supply we will see the miracle.
He is supplying and supplying.
It is simply by the hearing of faith
God is more than amazing, more than wonderful
He uses the most impossible situation. This is our God
