Something happen when you set aside time for the Lord. You are basking in the presence of the Lord. God will speak to you
The life of Elijah, we tend to think that God will stay away from us when we are discouraged. God will not put us aside.
Testimony –
How grace of God can change people’s lives.
A brother from US. He was molested when he was 8. His son is 6. Although he was saved from young he did not know how to break away from stronghold. He was under drugs since 12 years old. His wife left him with his son. One day he killed a man. He was cleared. But he had to leave as someone tried to kill him.
He was still trying and searching and seeking help.
He had to avoid contact with outside world because of a sickness. He was at home and he was exposed to Pastor Prince sermons. He started confessing he is righteousness of God in Christ even when he was under drugs and selling drugs for living.
God who called those things that are not as though they were and they are.
When we are sick we confess by His stripe we are healed.
In early 2016 he started losing his voice. Doctor found he had HPV. His wife and him continued watching Pastor Prince sermons. He started to feel that all his desires for bad things are gone. Instead he had desire to praise God. 6 months later, he found his HPV (cancer) is not found.

Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised (crushed) for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Chastisement – discipline and punishment
The punishment came on Jesus with a view for our shalom.
We have this impression that if we teach we are no longer under law but grace we are teaching license. But it is sin does not have dominion over us when we are under grace. Romans 7 – we are dead to the law. To God, law is law. All of them are one law before God. There are 616 commandments.
If you are struggling with symptoms of curse, child of God is under blessing and not curse.
As many as are of the works of the law are under the curse. For it is written curse is everyone who continue not in all things
Grace imparts. Law demands.
Love is the fulfilling of the law. You do not want to steal
By His stripe we are healed!
Surely He has borne our diseases and carried our pains.
Jesus borne our sins. To believe Christ took our diseases and pain, God said it is surely!
Meditate on the verse, Jesus surely borne our diseases
John 5:24
Life and Judgment Are Through the Son
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
Life and judgement is behind us now.
Jesus said those who believe on Him will not come into any judgement. We have passed onto death into life.
When we stand before Jesus we are standing with our glorified bodies. We are transformed like His body. This is not judgement whether we go to hell or not.
The great white throne judgement no believers will be standing there.
For God so loved the world that He gives His begotten Son.
There is no more punishment for the believers.
The same judge is your Righteousness
Jesus gives His sheep eternal life and they shall never perish.
Whoever believes on Him shall never perish. This is very clear.
We will never be punished but there is discipline when you love your child.
Proverbs 13:24
He who spares his rod hates his son,
But he who loves him disciplines him promptly (early).
A rod of correction is never used for older kids.
If you spare the rod you will bring your child to hell.
Does God discipline us? Yes. He loves us. He never discipline with diseases. He put it on Jesus. Whatever Jesus took, we don’t have to bear it.
Jesus borne our poverty as well.
The whole context is about giving.
Abundantly supply! He who was rich became poor. That we through His poverty might be rich. Surely He borne our diseases, pain and poverty.
He took your depression. Whatever He takes you don’t have to take.
There is no punishment. It is from the devil. Stand against it in Jesus’ name!
It is hard to battle with an enemy you don’t even know of.
Hebrews 12:7-11
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Chastening – child training
Receive discipline from the Father of Spirit and live! The result of the discipline is we live!
Discipline –
- And live!
- For our profit!
He discipline us for our profit.
God discipline us by disappointing us. His disappointment is your appointment to a higher place He has for us. He does it for our profit.
People who succeed are people who receive instructions, correction.
Maybe He wants u to go higher
Proverbs 13:18
Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction,
But he who regards a rebuke will be honored.
God looks at poverty as a result of foolishness and lack of wisdom. The poor cannot help poor. But it is not greedy and self seeking people.
Check ourselves. There are people you tell them and they refuse to listen.
Perhaps if they listen they would have gone further.
1 King 3, he asked God for wisdom
Be careful who you listen after.
Solomon needed someone to remind him of things.
He surrounded himself with counsellors.
He asked God for hearing heart.
Be open to correction. That is why you need body ministry. Surround yourself with wise men.
Eating from the tree caused them to die. It was tree of good and evil. Internet is a place of good and evil. You get trapped to the whole thing.
Hear what is God saying to you first before you look for help.
God uses people to correct us.
Sometimes God uses nasty boss or a gossiping colleague.
Psalms 60:8
Moab is My washpot;
Over Edom I will cast My shoe;
Philistia, shout in triumph because of Me.”
This washing is not washing by the blood. God may bring someone and he is your Moab.
All things may not be good but all things work together for good.
All these things is to cause you to be conform in the image of Jesus. (To be like Him in every way)
Gospel does produce soundness and peace.
We want God to be glorified in our lives.
All these things are working together for good.
If God is for us, WHAT can be against us?
If God is for me, WHAT can be successfully against me?
Jacob deceived his father with skin of the goats. Make himself hairy like his brother.
We are looking at someone who is deceitful. Years after his son deceived him. His son deceived him with blood of goat. He taught he was cunning until he met his father in law.
Jacob served 7 years for Rachel. But they were like a few days for his love for her.
His father in law gave him Leah instead.
A deceiver met a deceiver until he saw the ugliness of deception.
Many a times God uses wife as washpot.
Jacob served another 7 years for Rachel.
God uses people
Believers who need the Word are not reading the Word.
God loves His people and want to correct us from His Word. But people who need the Word are not in the place to receive the Word. God uses people.
Psalms 66:12
You have caused men to ride over our heads;
We went through fire and through water;
But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.
Look out for your “but”
Psalms 66:12 (KJV)
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads;
we went through fire and through water:
but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
You are coming out! God allow us through fire, we are going through and not staying. We are coming out better! We are coming out into a wealthy place. The word wealthy (reveayah) only appeared 2 times. (Psalm 23:5)
Psalms 23:5
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over (reveayah).
Coming out stronger! Like Noah, he came out of the ark into a brand new world! Into a running over blessings!
The devil cannot just attack. He is bound by God’s law. There is no temptation that overtakes you.
Repentance is change your mind.
Especially when you are blessed, the devil attacks.
When you are blessed you are blessed.
Deuteronomy 28:6-7
“Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
Face up to it. Don’t be afraid.
The Lord will defeat your enemies.
The enemies are scattered 7 ways! (Perfectly)
You always end up greater!
The devil attack you, he is taking a risk. You will be greatly blessed.
1 Peter 5:8-11
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Keep him seeking.
Stand in faith. Faith is based on the unseen. See Him who is invisible.
Whatever you are going through, another brother is going through.
A sheep cannot rest until the sheep knows he is taken care of
1 Peter 5:10
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
This suffering is not from God. This suffering is for a while. Thank God it is for a while.
A curse does not work if they did not tell you. They must let you believe for it to work.
Whenever the jinx are sent, tell them you will send them back in the name of Jesus.
When God discipline you, you should feel loved. For whom He loves, He will discipline
The Father in heaven loves you too much not to discipline you. God does not live us alone to our rebellious moments.
If you are really a child of God, you will be discipline.
A lot of times is the troubles from our own making.
Lovers don’t shout. When I am near I whisper.
God does not put diseases on people. It is our flesh.
There are still hope. Change your diet.
For believers, we are coming out into a wealthy place!
Genesis 15:13-14
Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.
Afterward – there is a “afterward”
God compensate even though He is not the one who takes away. God will restore to you for your trials.
If you are going through trials, you are going to come out to higher place, stronger!
In marriage, after a quarrel, you come out sweeter.
You shall have great possessions, healthier and stronger!
