Star Campus Worship Night

What is the feast after day of Atonement ?
Feast of Tabernacle
We are standing here to celebrate the 3rd feast – Feast of Tabernacle.
This Feast of Tabernacle is called for celebration.
They bring their sacrifices to remember to sacrifice for their sins.
If the high priest safely make it out, they will be having a great year.
Feast of Tabernacle is actually to celebrate the goodness of God.
They will be singing songs and feasting time. Celebration time
Leviticus 23:33-35
The Feast of Tabernacles
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord. On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it.
Rest and do no work
Leviticus 23:36-37
For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it.
“These are the feasts of the Lord which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day—
A Sacred Assembly
Leviticus 23:38-39
besides the Sabbaths of the Lord, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the Lord.
‘Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest.
This is one of those feast that is very special. Day of Atonement you do not have choice but to bring the lamb.
To bring peace and to celebrate God’s goodness – Day of Tabernacle
Leviticus 23:40-42
And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days. You shall keep it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month. You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths,
Dwell in booths -> on this day, this Feast
When the Jews celebrate they are normally very private. But on this feast they invite foreigners to join them to see their celebration of the goodness of God
The Lord will also hear the prayer and the request of all the foreigners who are there. Is a special celebration even the people of the world we can invite them to see the goodness of God.
To celebrate and remember God brought them out of Egypt.
Leviticus 23:43-44
that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.’ ”
So Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.
The priest told them they cannot cry, but be joyful.
There are 2 spiritual truths and 2 things the priest does during the Feast of Tabernacle
1. Take a golden pot to take the water from the pool of Siloam
2. Bring out 4 golden candelabra
There were 2 silver bowls
Jesus preached a sermon at the Feast of Tabernacle
John 7:37-39
The Promise of the Holy Spirit
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
This was a sermon Jesus preached during the Feast of Tabernacle. This He spoke concerning the Spirit.
Jesus said I am the Living Water.
Is more than Holy Spirit
In Jesus’ context, they need to drink water, they will need to take out a pot to contain water. If they have well, they will go and dig.
If you have a spring, they draw water.
Water here is very precious and literal.
God wants to give us living water. If anyone thirst, come to Me and I will give you living water.
When Jesus said He is living water, the next chapter ->
John 8:1-3
Chapter 8
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst,
John 8:10-11
When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
They were trying to catch Jesus. Their hearts were not for the law. It was to catch Jesus and for their own political advantages.
It was a Holy Feast Jesus taught at the Feast of Tabernacle.
They brought her and threw her while Jesus was preaching.
When Jesus has raised Himself up, He said he who has no sin, throw the first stone. He stood up twice.
It is the grace of God, when you receive, you can sin no more.
Then Jesus spoke to them again.
“I am the Light of the world”
John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Jesus came to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacle. He is there, the Light, standing in the midst of Tabernacle, shining!
Jesus shining, where are those who accuse you, neither do I condemn you!
Jesus shines forth, your sin I have forgiven, I remember no more!
Chapter 9 – the story of the blind man!
Jesus said go to the pool of siloam.
Jesus is the One, the sent One!
When the light comes into your life, He is not going to show your sin up.
We have issues with ourselves that are inside. Even fear. When we step in and go into the light, His light is not to call out your sin. When light comes in, He will shine away darkness.
To be caught, there is something the woman was struggling with inside her. Whether she like it or not she was caught and brought before the Lord Jesus. This light is not about to shine sin. But He will shine away the darkness in your heart. To reveal the true you.
Water -> We all has need
What does the blind man needs? He needs a pair of new eyes.
John 9:6-7
When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.
Water talk about washing and cleansing. Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ has come. The day we are celebrating the feast of tabernacle, He is glorified.
What are you dealing of inside? He is the Light. He will shine the darkness away.
Is it your past? Is it something you have done years ago and you are still worried about how people will see?
When the light comes, the inward issue is resolved.
The cleansing will cleanse from the inside. You shall be healed. The reason why we celebrate the Feast of Tabernacle is Jesus dwells with us.
The key for us to receive our miracle and breakthrough.
John 7:37
The Promise of the Holy Spirit
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
Save Now. Save Greatly.
Let him come to Me. Come to Me.
John 5:39-40
You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
The Scripture testify the Menorah and the Living Water.
Coming to church has no life, going to care group has no life…serving has no life…reading the scripture has no life…sometimes praying has no life…
U know what has life? Jesus has Life! Jesus is the Life! When you come to Him you have life!
I am not saying stop praying, or stop going to church.
Life! Life is in Jesus! Life! Is in the Lord!
Come to Me! If any man thirst, come to Me! Out of his belly shall flow river of water. He is the Light of the world.
This life open His arm wide and said come. Come to Him
John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
What life do you need? Many of you said I don’t know how to come. How do i come to Jesus. He is in our midst. The Lord wants to touch you. Come to Him, His grace. Come to Him boldly. When you come, there is a new and living way.
