[Chewing time! Devotional 🙌🏼😋]
In the Book of Mark, a man (unnamed) came running to Jesus! He knew there was something lacking in his life. He wanted eternal life and he knew that Jesus has the answer (that is why he asked Jesus)
He asked Jesus but called him Good Teacher. He did not see Jesus as God. He saw Jesus as a teacher who will give him the answer. He asked Jesus what should he DO to get eternal life 😱
Jesus pointed him to see that no man is good except God. And He answered the man with the 10 commandments. – to bring him to the end of himself and to know he needs Saviour.
As Jesus was saying the 10 commandments, this man interrupted. He was proud of his “achievements” and said yes he has kept them all!
He thinks he have-it-all! He thinks that by his doing he can get
Jesus looked at hime hard in the eye and LOVED him! U see that! Jesus was not there to scold him but He loves him.
Jesus knew that the possession was possessing him and not he possessed the possessions.
He asked him to sell all he has and to follow Him.
This man could not do it. He left with heavy heart.
He was holding tight to a lot of things and not about to let go.

They are stunned.😨😱
Jesus told them it people who think they “have it all” are the people who find it difficult.
No chance at all if you think you can put it off by yourself. Let God do it. 🙌🏼
Jesus came down to give us life and life more abundantly! He never shortchange us.
And the Word (Jesus) became flesh! Wow❗️ Jesus came down to become flesh and dwelt among us!
Now Jesus left the Holy Spirit to dwell in us! Christ in us the hope of glory!
Of His fullness we have all received!
The story of the man above is also a picture about us.
Be it we have all in our lives, we still have an emptiness that only Jesus can make us filled.
Be it we are lacking in our lives, we still have this emptiness that not the fulfilment of what we lack that can fulfil.
Only Jesus can fill us to fullness!
Of Jesus fullness we have all received and grace for grace!
For the law was given through Moses and grace and truth came through Jesus Christ! 😍
Look to Jesus! We cannot pull it off by ourselves, let God do it!
Let God complete the missing piece in our puzzle in our lives!
By giving up everything and take up the cross –
It means not letting our possession possess us
It means see the Defender of men who has through His blood torn the veil so that we can be the righteousness of God in Christ! 😱😍☺️
