Ministering at Troas
Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight. There were many lamps in the upper room where they were gathered together.
We start with rest. First day after rest is Lord’s day
God looks at motives not the action
Their custom back then is to remember the Lord’s supper
On the first day of the week they observed the first day
The place where believers gathered is the upper room. That is the church
There is a research that mentioned people who attend church regularly are people who live longer and live healthier.
Those who died are brought to the upper room
AI cannot have intuition
Evil reign when good man keeps silent.
Woman are called to inspire the man. Man are called to lead. Both are equal before God. Together they are powerful.
Paul was preaching at 3rd floor and Eutychus (means good fortune) has fallen.
Acts 20:9-10
And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead. But Paul went down, fell on him, and embracing him said, “Do not trouble yourselves, for his life is in him.”
The reason we want to be healthy is because God made us that way.
Death is foreign. No one likes to be reminded of death
Wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life !
Relationship – hug them

The holy spirit came on the day of Pentecost in the upper room
The disciples were in the upper room

and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets— indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever,”
that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
Temple is the church, the place of gathering.
Without Christ, you cannot receive the abundant life.
Don’t spend all your health to get your wealth only to find the next 30 years you spend your next 30 years to get back your health
1 Kings 17:19
And he said to her, “Give me your son.” So he took him out of her arms and carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his own bed.
These things happened to them that there will be types for us
When your child receive Christ, he is resurrected from dead

Train a child in a way of his mouth. In what he says and food

1 Kings 17:21-23
And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the LORD and said, “O LORD my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him.” Then the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.
And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house, and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, “See, your son lives!”

2 Kings 4:10-11
Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”
And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there.
Upper room is the place where you find rest
2 Kings 4:15-17
So he said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway. Then he said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.”
And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!”
But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.
2 Kings 4:19-21
And he said to his father, “My head, my head!”
So he said to a servant, “Carry him to his mother.” When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out.
Whenever you go to the church you are going to higher place
Where you let go, the supply flows
Jesus is your centre, not your children
By not worrying over your children, you remove the button the devil can press
2 Kings 4:32-34
When Elisha came into the house, there was the child, lying dead on his bed. He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the LORD. And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands; and he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm.
The child was lying on his bed, the place of anointing. Surround your children with the anointing of God
Psalms 92:1
Praise to the LORD for His Love and Faithfulness
A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.
It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
You need the anointing
You need the anointing for the greater work
You need to get fresh anointing for every Lord’s day.
When you do things with anointing, it is effortless ease.
Be planted in the house of the Lord
Psalms 92:13-14
Those who are planted in the house of the LORD
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bear fruit in old age;
They shall be fresh and flourishing,
You will always be young.
Many children who are loved will love what their parents love
