Sermon note

Pastor Gabriel

Psalms 119:97-100

מ MEM

Oh, how I love Your law!

It is my meditation all the day.

You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies;

For they are ever with me.

I have more understanding than all my teachers,

For Your testimonies are my meditation.

I understand more than the ancients,

Because I keep Your precepts.

Psalms 119:130

The entrance of Your words gives light;

It gives understanding to the simple.

“Run away from sexual immorality [in any form, whether thought or behavior, whether visual or written]. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the one who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, That I may not sin against You.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Psalms 119:105

נ NUN

Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.

It is light to our feet because it requires faith

Proverbs 16:1

The preparations of the heart belong to man,

But the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.

Proverbs 16:3

Commit your works to the LORD,

And your thoughts will be established.

Proverbs 16:9

A man’s heart plans his way,

But the LORD directs his steps.

Depend on Godly wisdom

How can I be sure God will establish my thoughts and purposes?

It takes faith and trust to believe God in His Words

Psalms 139:1-6

God’s Perfect Knowledge of Man

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

O LORD, You have searched me and known me.

You know my sitting down and my rising up;

You understand my thought afar off.

You comprehend my path and my lying down,

And are acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word on my tongue,

But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.

You have hedged me behind and before,

And laid Your hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;

It is high, I cannot attain it.

Psalms 139:7-10

Where can I go from Your Spirit?

Or where can I flee from Your presence?

If I ascend into heaven, You are there;

If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.

If I take the wings of the morning,

And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

Even there Your hand shall lead me,

And Your right hand shall hold me.

Omni-present God who will never leave us nor forsake us

Psalms 139:13-14

For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your works,

And that my soul knows very well.

He created you. He knows every part about you.

Does your soul know that very well?

You chose to be joint together as husband and wife

The Lord loves us just the way we are

Psalms 139:17-18

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How great is the sum of them!

If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;

When I awake, I am still with You.

We cannot count sands. That is how much precious thoughts God count for us.

Isaiah 54:13-14

All your children shall be taught by the LORD,

And great shall be the peace of your children.

In righteousness you shall be established;

You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;

And from terror, for it shall not come near you.

We have a Lord who knows us inside out and still loves us

Romans 8:31-39

God’s Everlasting Love

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;

We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Nothing!  No one can separate us from the love of God

Nothing. No one can separate us from His love

God is on our side. Child of God. Let us be established in this truth.

When we seek Him for direction, He will guide us. Meditate on His Word. He will lead us and guide us. He will restore our souls for His name’s sake.
