Sermon Note

Matthew 7:11
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Psalm 23
I have everything i need
The Lord is MY Shepherd
The word Shepherd means to tend a flock, to feed and to make friendship with
The King of all kings, our Redeemer, He is my and your Shepherd. He wants to take care of us. He wants to watch over us

Your good Shepherd wants to be your help
He wants to exalt you

If you are believing for restoration, we are believing with you, and you shall receive it.
Be at rest. The Lord said if you can be rested in Me, I can restore to you
Psalms 23:2-3
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Rest is spirit-directed activity
Rest is no worries
Let me watch over you. You rest.
Trust in Me
Self-effort is the greatest enemy of soul prosperity
Self-effort ends up self-pity
Self-hatred, condemnation
Eyes on Him, resting in all that He has done, the greatest result will come out.
Looking unto Jesus
Hebrews 12:2-3
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The Discipline of God
(Prov. 3:11, 12)
For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
When you start to look away, look away from self and look to Jesus
Just looking unto Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith
Psalms 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You are with me. Whatever situation you find yourself today, He is with you
For a shadow to be a shadow, there is some light. The darkness will not overshadow you
You prepare a table for me. Don’t need to wait until no enemy. It is not “I” who chase away.
In the presence of enemies, just feast
The lord of the flies will come, but He anoint our heads with oil
Fear not.
Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
Psalms 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.
Rest, the Lord’s goodness will hunt you down. You will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

“Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd,
Against the Man who is My Companion,”
Says the LORD of hosts.
“Strike the Shepherd,
And the sheep will be scattered;
Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.
Jesus. Why is God calling this sword ?
The flaming Sword
Jesus our good Shepherd. He went into the holy of holies
He entered with our sins
He died our death
He took our punishment
Finished!
