Sermon Note
Pastor Prince
The flesh tends to be religious. We always see an angry God. That image is held along because we may have a father or mum who is always finding fault
The idea that becomes ready to receive becomes a selfish thought.
The only good thing for a man to do before God is to receive.
Martha’s first thought was religious. She felt she needed to please God.
He is not after our hands. He is after our hearts
The Lord knows. Is the heart. When we come to church is to be occupied with Christ
Jesus came to the house and the “natural”thing to do is to go to the kitchen and find something good. Martha went to prepare food.
Mary was at Jesus’ feet.
Jesus used the word,” One thing is needful”
The sister sat at Jesus’ feet and she just received.
We are all made by Him
We were carefully and fearfully made
He is so overwhelmed with love
We cannot love unless we know we are first loved
God created man to receive all His love
You build your house for your own children or other people’s children?
Your own children!
Children has to be taught to say thank you. It is not natural to the flesh.
What is natural is to complain.
Your flesh has been crucified at the cross.
It is all passing away. It is rusting away.
The real you will live forever
It is where you are housed
Your joy in seeing them enjoying what you did
People who are appreciative and find good points, they live long!
Appreciation. A thankful heart.
Dis-ease is disease
Don’t blame the person or object you are criticising but yourself
The bread of the mighty
Every steps of the way they complain
If you can just say thank you
We learn to receive and say thanks
Martha came out complaining. She said don’t you care I am serving alone?
Think you are alone and blame everyone else, you are depressed
Jesus said to her, Martha Martha you are anxious about many things but on thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good part which shall not be taken away from her
Doing quiet time via receiving quiet time
The minister life is not a life for himself. Is to minister
One of the main ways is to show words
We have the tendency to look for the good
Sin is no more a subject of you and the Lord
Jesus knowing He came from the Father, He laid aside and wash His disciples’ feet
John 13:1-14
Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet
Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You washing my feet?”
Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”
Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!”
Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”
Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.”
So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Entire nation rejected the Messiah
He knew the Father has given all things through His hands
In everything we have we owe it to God
Knowing He has all things from the Father
He rose from supper, bowed down and serve
Supper is the picture of the cross
At the cross everything is magnified to the fullness and greatest
The sin of men is manifested in its fullness
At the cross you see God glorify
God’s fullness justice was met at the cross. God’s justice is satisfied
For God so loved the world He gave His only Son. Is at the cross.
Altar means God’s claim from men in the Old Testament
Blood means the blood of Jesus has fully met
God is glorified
God is just in making you righteous
God raised Jesus from the dead as a testimony that you have been declared righteous
Jesus washed the disciples’ feet. Is a spiritual washing
John 15:3
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
I am the Vine you ARE the branches
The vine has no stem or truck
The branches make up the vine tree
You know how one that is?
You are so part of me!
When He rose from the dead He did not leave alone. His church was with Him. The church is not a building
Does that makes you want to sin? No!
Peter denied knowing Jesus 3 times with cursing and Pharisees.
One of the greatest form of self righteousness is to kill yourself
You are not your own. You are bought with Jesus’ blood. The blood of God’s own Son
Walk successfully with Jesus, we need the washing of the feet
The joy is in the act.
The Lord wants to love on you
He still a Servant. He still wants to minister to you
The servant can only serve for 7 years and he can go free but leave his family back. He loves his master and his wife and children and he chose to stay than go free
He remained as servant forever.
Jesus remained as Servant forever
Serve and to receive the greatest service, His Love
His feet is dirty always. Is symbol the walk on this earth

John 13:10
Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.”
Washing of the regeneration
Once you are washed by the blood, you only need the Word
Ephesians 5:25-27
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
Washing of water by the word
Jesus always refreshes us
Jesus needs to sanctify us from uncleanness and refreshes us
The more we allow washing of the water, healthier we become
Speak in such a way, produce more cares
Find a good point and say it
