Perfect Peace [Sermon Note]
Pastor Prince
God can never make a mistake in your life.
Jesus was born and this name Emmanuel was given to Him
Matthew 18:18-19
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
Matthew 1:20-21
But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Yeshua means to save you from your sin
Matthew 1:23
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Immanuel
Matthew 1:23
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
This God who makes the little becomes plenty, He is with us.
God is for us
God is for us and He is not against us
Romans 8:31
God’s Everlasting Love
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
If God be for me, what can be against me
God for us. Not against us
If God is for me, what can be against me
If He is for me, who and what can be against me?
Things might seems to be against us
Listen to the Word of God today
The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy
The one that steals your joy and peace in the enemy
God is on our side.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Love is not love until you give it
During the Christmas time, we celebrate His love
God loves us and sent His Son to die for our sins
Man (Adam) was clothed with the glory light when he was first created. It was a shield all around him. He became brilliant and shine.
God made man with the king of creation.
The innocent must die for the guilty
A lamb that was killed. It was God who brought the sacrifice
Death is foreign to us. The day man sin, he will die
The day you sin, you will die
Our body is the house we live in. The real us is inside of us
God is a spirit and He makes man spirit
Is the spirit that brought forth the physical
Hebrews 9:22
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Bloodless sacrifice cannot atone for sin
He died in our place.
Instead of – in the place of / in the position of
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son
Begotten means one and only
On the cross Jesus was (as if) He was forgotten
God turned His back on His Son
God sent Him for the reason
It was while we were still sinners, Christ died for us
Divine substitute
The lamb’s righteousness is transferred to us
U don’t deserve to live His life but you get it. All that you are is given to Him
All of us break the 10 commandments
All of us are qualified for the grace of God
All of us are qualified for the works at the cross
Goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives
Jesus became condemned in our place.
Jesus was made sin with our sin. He did not sin. God made us righteous
By human righteousness no one can be justified
We are not saved by trying harder
The reason why He gave the law is to show us we cannot
If the mirror shows ugly, you cannot blame the mirror.
The law of God is like a mirror
You don’t use the mirror to wash yourself
The law was given by Moses (the servant)
Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ
When you come, it is personal
Grace came
You are saved by the blood of Jesus
When you are saved, the life of Jesus is in you
It is not natural for a cow to bark
Your default mode is morality even without you been conscious
Humble is the posture of your heart, not physical
You don’t get salvation by your morality
God raised His Son from the dead
God loves and me.
God raised His Son from the dead
Romans 4:22-25
And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.
Reign in this abundant life
On the cross Jesus was delivered up for us
Romans 4:25
who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.
Time began with God
God lives outside time
Your entire life of sin, God put on Jesus Christ
All our sins have been put away!
God raised Jesus as our substitute, not as His son
On the cross He bound all our sins
God covers us, it is complete.
God is for us
Jesus is now my identity.
God saw me as Him and see Him as me
He became sin with our sin
Romans 4:25
who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.
God is for you!
Acts 2:1-5
Coming of the Holy Spirit
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
The Crowd’s Response
And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
Acts 2:6-8
And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?
In his own language
God confined Himself to one language, Hebrew.
Law says if you obey i will bless you
Grace says if you believe it has been done i will bless you
Acts 2:9-10
Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,
Acts 2:11-12
Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
Grace is about the wonderful works of God and not man
It is all about Jesus
It is a gift
Accept the gift and the gift will change us
Come to Jesus and He will bathe you all over
The language of grace is proclaim the wonderful works of God
You are saved by receiving the gift of salvation.
Why did God not just let us perish?
He made angels before He made man
Why did God ignore the only perfect life on the cross?
He was carrying our sins
God can now said welcome home. Welcome to My arms
If you are grateful to God, stand in the place grateful to receive
When you follow Him, you will not lack
Consent to be loved
Consent to be saved
God SO LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Whosoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life
