Prayer of protection Psalm 91
We need to know the blessings and promises of Psalm 91. There is a place in Christ that we are protected.
You do not know what the future holds but God knows. He is in the timeless zone.
The very first thing God gave them was prayer language.
Acts 2:1
Coming of the Holy Spirit
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
On the day of Pentecost, God gave not the law but the spirit. The tongues of fire.
3000 was saved. The law kills but the spirit gives life.
It pleased the Lord to crush Jesus
God loves us and He sent His Son who loves us also.
Isaiah 53:1
Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
Under the law, God speaks about man’s work. “You shall not “
Acts 2:11
Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.”
The wonderful works of God
It is about how good God is. Not about how bad man is.
The tongues they spoke was wonderful works of God
When you speak in tongues, you are speaking wonderful works of God
When God gives something, it has myriads of uses
Man creates something, got a lot to maintain.
You can be free from addictions and physical infirmities
There are myriads of benefits to pray in tongues
1 Corinthians 14:2-3
For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.
Rest. Focus on the works of God.
To construct or to repair
Your body is a temple.
1 Corinthians 6:19
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
1 Corinthians 14:4
He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
When you pray in tongues, your spirit is praying.
Edifies means building constructing your house, your temple.
You are building constructing repair your body
It is better beauty comes from within
You can repair your body by praying in tongues
1 Corinthians 14:21
In the law it is written:
“With men of other tongues and other lips
I will speak to this people;
And yet, for all that, they will not hear Me,”
says the Lord.
Isaiah 28:11
For with stammering lips and another tongue
He will speak to this people,
Isaiah 28:12
To whom He said, “This is the rest with which
You may cause the weary to rest,”
And, “This is the refreshing”;
Yet they would not hear.
There is a place of rest when we pray in tongues
Rest find grace in the eyes of the Lord
The rest of God
Psalms 95:11
So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ”
Let us labour therefore to enter into rest
Stress is becoming real problem especially these days.
The devil means is always to stress you out and wear you out
You cannot fight with supernatural forces with natural means
U need supernatural means
When you pray in tongues there is rest
Rest is not possible until Jesus rose from the dead
When you pray, the speech centre is in the front of your head and it light up when you speak.
But when you pray in tongues, it is not light up and scientifically they see it as taken up by another part of the brain. But they cannot see where it took place.
The holy spirit took over.
In the experiment, all 5 of them showed same result
Start praying in the spirit
When you first pray, it is battling your fear.
Jesus was crucified. Psalm 22 prophesied
At that time crucifixion was not even a device.
You can be young and be of use to God
2 Chronicles 29:3
Hezekiah Cleanses the Temple
In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the LORD and repaired them.
He opened the doors his father shut
The very first thing Hezekiah did was to open the door.
What is the door? What is the open door?
Which part of our body is the door?
Open the door and start praying in tongues
Psalms 141:3
Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth;
Keep watch over the door of my lips.
2 Chronicles 29:7
They have also shut up the doors of the vestibule, put out the lamps, and have not burned incense or offered burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Israel.
You need light and wisdom
God has sworn He will never be angry with us.
You cannot watch over your children 24-7 but the Lord can.
Building yourself up, praying in the holy spirit. Above stress and anxiety
2 Chronicles 29:16
Then the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD to cleanse it, and brought out all the debris that they found in the temple of the LORD to the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it out and carried it to the Brook Kidron.
Never take lightly when someone said he is suffering from depression.
Learn to pray in the spirit and let go of your stress.
Psalms 150:6
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD!
Isaiah 41:15
“Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth;
You shall thresh the mountains and beat them small,
And make the hills like chaff.
Isaiah 41:16
You shall winnow them, the wind shall carry them away,
And the whirlwind shall scatter them;
You shall rejoice in the LORD,
And glory in the Holy One of Israel.
John 10:23
And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.
When you speak to your condition and has not seen the result, keep on praying in the spirit
Acts 5:16
Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
When you pray in the spirit, you will see the wonderful works of God
