2 Kings 3:9-20
So the king of Israel went with the king of Judah and the king of Edom, and they marched on that roundabout route seven days; and there was no water for the army, nor for the animals that followed them.
And the king of Israel said, “Alas! For the Lord has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”
But Jehoshaphat said, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?”
Jehosphaphat is a smart king. Whenever he faced a challenge he will look for the Lord. What we need is a revelation. One word from God can turn the situation around.
So one of the servants of the king of Israel answered and said, “Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.”
And Jehoshaphat said, “The word of the Lord is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
Then Elisha said to the king of Israel, “What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother.”
But the king of Israel said to him, “No, for the Lord has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”
And Elisha said, “As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you, nor see you.
Elisha did not want to inquire of the Lord for them, but on the count of good king, he did.
But now bring me a musician.”
Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.
It is the musicians played, the hands of the Lord came upon him.
If the inside inspiration is dead, what do you do? By having anointed music, something will happen. Anointed music can inspired us. We need motivation from the Lord.
Expose yourself to anointed music.
And he said, “Thus says the Lord: Make this valley full of ditches.’ For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’
And this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
Also you shall attack every fortified city and every choice city, and shall cut down every good tree, and stop up every spring of water, and ruin every good piece of land with stones.”
Now it happened in the morning, when the grain offering (grain offering speaks of Jesus) was offered, that suddenly water came by way of Edom, and the land was filled with water.
Because there was water, the Lord caused the land to be filled with water.
Just one word from the Lord and our life will never be the same again.
The entrance of God’s Word gives life.
Anointed music can inspire you.
1 Samuel 16:23
And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.
Saul became refreshed and well first.
When you are feeling stress, put on a worship cd and just listen.
There is power in anointed music
The power of anointed music, praise and worship.
Anytime you are down, let the anointed music lift you up.
Anointing can be captured.
David was known as sweet Psalmist of Israel.
76 psalms were written by David. Inspired Psalmist. David created music instruments.
David is a worshipper. He loves the Lord. He loves to worship the Lord.
The Lord His Shepherd.
Psalm 22 speaks of the Messiah and His sufferings on the cross.
Psalms 22:1
The Suffering, Praise, and Posterity of the Messiah
My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?
Why are You so far from helping Me,
And from the words of My groaning?
Even our Lord would sing and quote the Psalm of David
Psalms 22:3
But You are holy,
Enthroned in the praises of Israel.
Enthroned – yâshab
Something happens when we praise God.
He inhabit the praises of His people
He is enthroned in the praises of His people
Praise the pathway to God’s presence
Praise will bring the presence of God. There is a distinct presence of the Lord
God enters. His presence will take up residence in our lives.
God’s presence abide in us and we partner with Him in a glowing relationship
God is all presence. He is with us. But it is different when we praise Him. He inhabit our praises. His manifested glory
When we praise Him, something happens.
Praise is the highest work carried out by God’s children.
Highest expression of the saints.
God Himself is exalted through praise.
Something happened when we praise God. Whenever we praise God, something happened.
Whether you are a singer or not, you are a worshipper!
You can praise Him with your heart. Something happened when you praise Him. God is everywhere. When we praise Him, His glory comes into the presence
2 Chronicles 5:11-14
And it came to pass when the priests came out of the Most Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without keeping to their divisions), and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets—
indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever,”
that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
God’s manifested glory was strong that they cannot do anything
This happened in the Old Testament, what more today!
God’s glory will manifest in your lives.
Testimony –
Annie was having a wonderful time in Singapore. They came from Japan. The very first service in Star. Annie woke up feeling ill the day she had to go back to Japan. She felt feverish. She recalled Pastor Prince’s sermon. She turned her eyes to Jesus. She praised the Lord for He is good.
To her amusement shortly after she was at departure gate, all her symptoms were gone.
Something happened when we praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord for He is good.
When you praise God, God’s grace come into the situation. Praise is powerful.
Numbers 21:16-18
From there they went to Beer, which is the well where the Lord said to Moses, “Gather the people together, and I will give them water.” Then Israel sang this song:
“Spring up, O well!
All of you sing to it—
The well the leaders sank,
Dug by the nation’s nobles,
By the lawgiver, with their staves.”
And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah,
They opened their mouths and they sang! The norm is not to be dry. If you are, there is a way out. Start singing and praising the Lord.
Every person who worshipped the Lord received their miracles
Matthew 8:1-3
Jesus Cleanses a Leper
(Mark 1:40–45; Luke 5:12–16)
When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Worship always involve an action
You bow down
When you worship God you are telling Jesus, You are God
When he worship the Lord, something happened.
It is not about how good we are
Trusting in God is trusting in God’s Son, Jesus Christ
Matthew 9:18-19
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed
(Mark 5:21–43; Luke 8:40–56)
While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did His disciples.
This man has faith. This is faith speaking
Maybe you are experiencing death or relationship in your lives. Maybe there is a death in your hope and dream, just because it is dead or going to die, it will not remain dead
Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life!
He can resurrect whatever is dead in your life!
When you worship Him, something will change in your situation.
Mark 5:1-6
A Demon-Possessed Man Healed
(Matt. 8:28–9:1; Luke 8:26–39)
Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.
The demon cannot stop him from worshipping the Lord.
When he worshipped Him, something happened. Jesus casted out the demons. No man could do to save him, Jesus with one word delivered him!
There is a power of worship
Paul and Silas were thrown into prison. They started to sing hymns. Every chains were broken! The prison doors was loose. Every prisoners were set free. Because Paul and Silas praised the Lord.
Are you in the darkest moment of your lives? Praise Him and He will set you free.
Praise is the highest work we will ever do.
Praise is the our biggest weapon
Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord
The worshippers went to the battlefield and started to sing! When they sang, they sang the same thing, praise the Lord for He is good!
Praise is the highest and greatest weapon! Praise is the greatest warfare!
Jesus shared about worship when He walked on earth. He shared with the woman with 5 husbands. He shared to the sinner
John 4:21-24
Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
True worshippers will worship the Father.
God is not a God far away. God is our Abba!
We have received the spirit of sonship by which we called our Abba! Abba!
He is not a God we need to plead! He wants to help us! He is our Father.
We don’t worship to gain brownie points.
We are not born of the flesh we are born of the spirit.
Jesus said I am the way the truth and the light! Truth is found in Jesus Christ. There is no other ways.
Tabernacle of David, there is no rules. Everyone can come and worship the Lord!
We are already cleansed and make righteous
Dressed up and go to the party! Are you afraid to praise God?
Nothing will happen! Forgiven! Make righteous
Psalm 63
Psalms 113:4
The Lord is high above all nations,
His glory above the heavens.
When we understand grace we give thanks
When we understand grace we will rejoice
When we worship God, everything will be changed.
